What were the standards that differentiates a sixth generation fighter jet?
All countries developing sixth generation jets were fumbling in every nook and cranny for the specific standards. Hence, there was no clear and uniform standard.
In spite of that, these were a few criteria that must be fulfilled:
1. Usage artificial intelligent systems inbat. Combat capabilities must be on par as being piloted by top pilots.
2. Better stealth capabilities. Difficult to be detected on radar.
3. Better Situation Awareness (SA).
4. Revolutionary airborne weapons.
5. Powerful flexibility and widerbat range.
Among all the criteria, the five most crucial criteria were decided by engine performance.
However, after nearly a hundred years of development, traditional turbofan engine technology had reached its limits. No matter how good the materials, how exceptional the design, and howplex the architecture the engine used, it was still difficult to achieve fuel efficiencies above 35%. Approaching design limits, it was nearly impossible for further breakthroughs.
Detonation engines on the other hand were different.
The working principle of the detonation engine was somewhat simr to traditional diesel and gasoline engines. It depletes fuel in an instant, elerating gases above 2000 meters per second then ejecting them via the rear nozzle, converting energy into massive thrust force.
The fuel efficiency of a regr diesel engine could reach 40%, 45% or even 50%. Detonation engines could also reach simr levels. Compared with turbofan engines weighing more than 1 ton and 1.5 tons, the detonation engine which had simpler structure and smaller size can bepressed to less than 500 kilograms. The weight saved can be supnted with more fuel resources.
As fuel for detonation engines was burnt more exhaustivity, the thrust force produced would be bigger with only small amounts of residual heat. Thus, the fighter jet’s flexibility and infrared stealth ability would both be enhanced significantly.
Human pilots cannot withstand the strain caused by the jet’s high mobility. Therefore, sixth generation fighter jets were generally unmanned aircrafts... this again could save up another portion of the space and weight, to add in more fuel.
Therefore, pared to the fourth and fifth generation fighters using turbofan engines which had flight distances within the 3000 to 5000 kilometers range, the flight distance of the sixth generation fighter jet could be boosted to 6000 to 10000 kilometers.
This imply an elongated airtime which correspondingly doubles thebat radius. As long as there was enough ammo in the jet’s weaponry, a single sixth generation fighter jet alone could finish off enemies several timesrger than it. Utilizing the jet’s superiority in maneuvering, enemy jets could even be kited into exhaustion.
The absolute superiority detonation engines provide for the sixth generation fighter jet allow its users to rub out their enemies in a variety of ways.
In addition, detonation engines could also be installed on missiles, rockets and other weapons. Not only that it would increase the range of these weapons sharply, it could also improve the missile or rocket’s flexibility.
With improved flexibility, it could easily interceptrge warheads as an anti-air weapon. With improved flexibility as well, it could surge the failure rate of the enemy’s interception system and annihte their billion-dor missile defense system in a sh when used as offense.
The advent of the denotation engine broke the bnce of power between the world’s military powerhouses. It had made it so that nations who broke through this technology first, would gain a huge military advantage.
Evidently, this advantage had been acquired by the Z nation... all the world’s military powerhouses apprehended this very fact after the Z nation’s domestic sixth generation fighter jet’s initial flight was announced.
In fact, there were many countries engaged in the detonation engine’s research and development. The M nation too had smashed in several billion dors, but have been unable to solve the issues in precise control, power coupling, and other problems of the detonation engine... this kind of engine was too difficult to control.
The Z’s however had conquered the technical difficulties and sessfully applied the engine on their sixth generation fighter jet.
This breakthrough caused a worldwide sensation.
Media’s from various countries were making reports with horrifying titles and variegated contents:
‘Russian Pravda’ reported, “The Z nation has be the first country to invent the sixth generation fighter jet. Its advent has established them a one to two generation lead against our so-called fifth generation fighter jet, Sukhoi Su-57 and our fourth generation fighter jet. Now, we must not be grateful that the Z nation is our friendly neighbor. We cannot expect our Aircraft Design Bureau toe up with the same sixth generation fighter jet immediately. We could only hope that our leaders are willing to buy sixth generation fighter jets from the Z’s... let go of the poor self-esteem as the Z’s are indeed better than us. ”
‘German Times’, an article titled “The Weakening Empire” , “15th of April. Do remember this meaningful day. From this day onwards, the hegemony of the most powerful empire of this has weakened. Its significance is no less than the disintegration of the Soviet Union that urred more than 30 years ago. This is a frustrating bad news. It could bring the world some positive changes, but nheless... the era of a multipr world has dawned.”
Ennd’s ‘Times Magazine’ wrote, “It is time to adjust our foreign policy. We have strayed too far from the M nation. We have lost our huge economical advantage. We have lost umpteen development opportunities. We have even invited ourselves into dangerous territory. We are just a small country and should take a safer and more bnced approach in our diplomacy... It is said that the Z nation’s sixth generation fighter jets could travel more than 10 thousand kilometers, while the UK is only 6000 kilometers away from Z. We should listen to the Z’s advice.”
‘Paper Cat Observer’ reported, “It must be fake. That must be just a model. It is impossible that It is real!”
...
The M nation.
Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Within the director’s office.
The president’s private secretary stood in front of Warren Turner, holding a dismissal file in his hand, “Mr. Turner, the president is very upset. He is shocked by your inabilities.”
“You failed to notice such an important intelligence as the Z’s sessfully flying a sixth generation fighter jet.”
“Your ipetence shamed the M nation. Our country’s sixth generation fighter jet has alsopleted initial flight, but you have made it that the Z’s disclosed their sess before us.”
“You are dismissed Mr. Turner. Several aides proposed for you to go through trial on the military court. But Mr. President only gave you the lightest punishment due to your previous credits. Scram now. Someone will rece you in the office immediately.” The secretary looked at him with dismal.
“Received.”
Warren Turner nodded his head. he signed on the dismissal document, took off his uniform and put up ordinary civilian clothing. He left the CIA in front of his former subordinates and colleagues who were gossiping and pointing fingers at him.
He walked slowly with his head lowered, constantly looking at the ground.
He was not depressed and had epted the rulings.
He was only reflecting, why did things turn out this way?
Breaking down his assorted actions in the previous years, he was obsessed withmitting unconstitutional actions to please the Congress, the President and to prove his own abilities. He had achieved their goals and protected the M nation’s benefits by opting for insurmountable amounts of rogue methods.
But now...
The Z nation’s sixth generation fighter jet took off for the first time.
What was the use of him excelling in doing the dirty work?
Could he stop the Z nation from rising by stabbing them from behind, tripping them or badmouthing them in front of the others?
No!
It was all in vain!
In the face of the Z nation’s sixth generation fighter jet, his actions seemed so lowly and absurd, as if he was a clown!
Thepetition among countries were based on hard power. It was about who mastered the most advanced technology before the others. Opting for despicable means might put one on high horse momentarily. But once a crisis urred, they would be exposed, naked, in front of the others.
For example, in the face of the Z nation’s sixth generation fighter jet, the M nation’s fourth and fifth generation fighter jet would suffer a fate as grass getting mowed over... this was true cruelty.
Warren Turner could only murmur, “May God bless us. Let our scientistse out with the sixth generation fighter jet asap. We can lose, but in this field, the M nation must not lose!”
