The British senior high and college entrance examinations were quite different from their respective counterparts in Z nation. They were of twopletely separate styles.
The British examinations onnguage, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and other topics were held at intervals of two weeks, giving the students ample time to rest, adjust, and review.
As for Z nation’s high school entrance examination, all subjects were required to bepleted within two to three days.
In addition, the nature of Britain’s college entrance examination was such that it wasn’t “a one-time exam that determined your fate for the rest of your life.” Students had many opportunities to retake the exam. If one didn’t do well on this round of exams, one could apply for the next round. The highest score achieved from all the times one took the exams would be taken... Hence, one could truly see the maximum potential of every student.
But from Chen Jin’s perspective, “They’re treating it like a game!”
One could neither inspect the true potential of students nor witness their explosive power in the face of challenges. Although the British style of exams wasn’t enough to bury geniuses, it also gave way too many chances for the mediocre. There wasn’t much of a selective nature in the way the exams were carried out.
But even so, the specific performance of the Little Star learning machine in foreign countries could only be analyzed and most directly observed through the British sample.
This was because the other sample, Brazil, was too poor. There were only about 30 percent of parents in the country who had the ability to afford a Little Star learning machine. The coverage wasn’t very wide.
Britain had scoured their country and returned more than 50,000 pieces of Z nation’s cultural artifacts. As such, the price of the Little Star learning machine had dropped to 250 dors per unit... This was mere pennies.
As for those parents who were so poor that they could not afford to pay 250 dors, the government would foot the expenses and send one to the poor students for free. Hence, there were millions of British students from the first grade of primary school to the third grade of high school who had a Little Star learning machine.
They had been using the learning machine for close to a year. The scores from the senior high school and college entrance examination was the test for the results of using the learning machine, and thest exam waspleted on August 25th.
The results of all the subjects tested were out on August 27th andpared with the previous year’s results.
Facing the cameras of the media from various countries around the world, the British Minister of Education proudly announced, “Amazing progress has been achieved!
“In the four science subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology, the average scores of our students have increased by 31 percent, 24 percent, 27 percent, and 18 percent, respectively, pared tost year. The total scores have increased by more than 20 percentpared tost year!
“We are marching on the road to bing a country that is strong and powerful in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. More geniuses will be born in thisnd! We are advancing on the road to a rapid re-emergence and further development!”
There was no doubt that this was of course due to the efforts of the Little Star learning machine. Wow... All the media outlets present were shocked and discussed the announcement with a buzz.
The domestic media reporters on the ground naturally had tears in their eyes. The news was so thrilling for them that they were rejoicing and spreading the word. “The strength of the youth will trante into the strength of their country. There’s hope now for the future of the empire.”
“A 20 percent increase in one year. What about three or five years from now? How much improvement will have been made?”
“The children are our future! If we had dyed importing the intelligent learning machine, our future would have remained the same!”
“We must reach a partnership with Xing Hai Technologies no matter the price we have to pay. This matter brooks no dy!”
A sense of urgency and crisis bloomed in the hearts of media reporters from other countries. There were reporters from Merica who had wanted to raise a few piercing questions and write some fake news to mock and ridicule them. However, as they witnessed the behavior of journalists from other countries, these Merican reporters became silent.
Indeed, for all other topics, their reports could be faked and their prejudice and acrimony incorporated into those reports, but could they do that for education? Could theybel the intelligent learning machine as something undemocratic and then snort in derision at it?
Could they deceive and mislead the next generation of Mericans by saying that they were still the best even without the intelligent learning machines? Could they bear the responsibility for the consequences that would arise should such fake news be written?
Obviously they could not!
When it came to education, they still gathered up their measly consciences and objectively reported the strengths of the intelligent learning machine. At the same time, they cried out loudly in envy—Merica ha tounch their own domestic intelligent learning machine as soon as possible. They could notg behind in thispetition! The future of Merica would be over if they lost the race at the starting line.
...
After the exam results were announced, Chen Jin received a call from Ling Jundong.
“President Chen, the British King, Prime Minister, and Parliament just passed a proposal unanimously. They decided to grant you the title of ‘Honorary Citizen’ and ‘Honorary Earl.’ They hope that you will go to the UK personally to receive the award and attend a dinner prepared by King Charles for you... They hope for Britain to be the first country to be visited by President Chen and through this visit, strengthen the cooperation between the two sides.”
Title of an Earl? Visiting the UK?
Chen Jin shook his head. The British people had greater emotional intelligence. They were arrogant in their hearts but talked modestly. They had actually thought of such a good move to invite him to the UK.
With the cleverness and cunning of the British, there would definitely be a lot of traps waiting for him if he went. The ambushes would be unexpected, and he would be unable to defend against them effectively. He would even venture so far as to say that there was a trace of danger.
“I’m not going. Get someone to collect the award. I’m too busy with work and have no time to go.” He would send his robot double over there if there was a chance to do so in the future.
“Okay, President Chen.”
...
28th of August. Xing Hai Building.
Returning back to the scene of recruiting bootlickers, in the hall, Chen Jin, who was manipting his robot double, looked at his surroundings. He did some rough estimating and found that there were at least 500 people standing at the scene.
The average number of people in a delegation was five, which meant that at least 100 countries had sent their diplomatic representatives.
There were average strong countries such as France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. There were also arge number of small countries with poptions of only a few hundred thousand to a few million.
There were also a few surprising figures, as well. Japan, Gorea, and India had all sent diplomatic representatives topete for a limited ce as bootlickers, especially Japan. One Deputy Chancellor from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had already diedst year, yet they still sent someone that year. They had set their lives aside in order to be bootlickers.
The situation of Gorea was simr to that of Japan. It was also Merica’s dog. Gorea was controlled to an even greater extent by Merica. Therefore, no one had been sent the year before. However, they sent people this year.
India had a very strong sense of self-respect as a country. It had always considered itself a powerful country, and there was never a possibility of it being a bootlicker. However, they came wrapped in a headscarf that year. All theycked was crying out, “How attractive!”
After eliminating the two countries that they had partnered withst year, they had eliminated Merica’s two hardcore followers. They then eliminated the over 20 “friendly countries” that had already reached an agreement of partnership with Z nation’s government.
The delegations present represented more than one hundred countries. It was like all the countries of the world were in attendance. They were all geared up and amply prepared. They had put aside all their concerns and were eager to reach a strategic partnership with Xing Hai Technologies. They wanted to ride on the coattails of this rocket that was soaring rapidly to embrace a bright future.
Chen Jin stood on the stage and felt the burning eyes of these diplomatic representatives.
The first sentence Chen Jin said caused a loud rumbling. “I am sorry, everyone, you may be facing very fiercepetition. This is because Xing Hai Technology is only providing four ces for partnership this time around.”
Woah... The breaths of all the diplomatic representatives present suddenly became heavy and ragged. They couldn’t help but clench their fists. An intense close-quarter fight between the bootlickers was about to begin.
