Gu Chaoyan looked in the direction Sword One pointed. She saw that there were some blood traces on the leaves of the tree, and the blood had be hard.
Gu Chaoyan went further in that direction.
On the ce where the blood trace was seen, there were broken twigs and leaves which had fallen to the ground. Apparently, there had been a fight there. The blood had be hard, and judging from how the blood looked like, it was left there a few days ago.
This was obviously where Wang Dao was injured.
After he got injured, no one else had been to this ce, and Gu Chaoyan had heard from his family that they had reported the incident to the government.
However, the government did not get involved with this matter, but categorized this incident into the fact that Wang Dao had been attacked by somerge animal in the mountains.
Gu Chaoyan shook her head slightly, then she took a look at the footprints.
There were a few small footprints that looked like Wang Dao’s. Blood was over the ce where he had been.
Gu Chaoyan made a further observation.
There were footprints without blood that belonged to human beings. It was a footprintrger than Wang Dao’s. And it seemed that it was from a very weighty man.
The footprint was very deep.
She thought of what Wang Dao was like – he was very tall and weighty, so this man should be bigger than Wang Dao? And Wang Dao also mentioned that this man was agile... so agile that he could not even notice what it was.
So that was a very agile, weighty man?
Gu Chaoyan found the whole thing even more confusing. What on earth had injured Wang Dao? She just could not have a clue.
“Let’s walk a bit further, alongside the footprints.” Gu Chaoyan said cautiously.
Sword One and Sword Two exchanged a look and nodded.
They took each of her side. They were afraid that something would pop up and hurt Gu Chaoyan.
‘Wang Dao was injured here, and it was not certain if that attacker had left or if there were many more simr things existing here. They were all unknown beings, and even if they were capable in martial arts, they were still anxious – their Elder Miss had to be safe.
Gu Chaoyan followed the footprints a bit further until there were no more footprints. There was a huge forest in front of them and they had no direction where to go.
Even in the mountains, Gu Chaoyan could not see any ordinary animals like wild rabbits. She found the whole thing strange.
Sword One was a bit worried, so she suggested. “Elder Miss, I think that we should take it as a long term issue and ask the hidden guards to take a look into this.”
Gu Chaoyan nodded. She did not think that it was okay to continue, since they were not fully prepared today.
The day would be getting darker soon and they were not fully prepared. Both Sword One and Sword Two could fly around, but she could not, so she did not want to drag them down.
“Let’s leave, and make a n.” Gu Chaoyan said calmly.
Sword One and Sword Two let out a sigh of relief.
The three went downhill and headed back to Xinlin Clinic, but they made some signs on the way there, so that the hidden guards from the Shadow Door could follow the signs as they were conducting the investigation.
When they returned to the Xinlin Clinic, it was almost dark outside.
Gu Chaoyan had be a little tired.
She had just walked in, when she saw Xiu Jie wearing a helpless expression on his face.
Gu Chaoyan looked inside and spotted Qian Shao there.
They frowned subconsciously..
