Chapter 2686: Sky Sect 12

Just as she was about to speak…
Suddenly, there was amotion. Someone shouted, “Take them down, they are trespassing into the clouds!”
What?
No one had noticed them along the way. Why were they caught now?
The two of them ran around.
However, they were caught very quickly.
Gu Chaoyan had to ept her fate.
Her cultivation level in a ce like the Sky Sect was at the lowest tier. Even many individuals in the Xing Sect would pale inparison, let alone those in the clouds. Resisting was out of the question.
She maintained an innocent smile as she was escorted away.
Observing from the clouds, the Heaven Emperor, hands behind his back, furrowed his brow. How long had she been in the Sky Sect, and she had already brought people here without detection? If he hadn’t sensed it, she might have seen him.
While he had enticed her to the Sky Sect, he hadn’t nned on meeting her so soon. Besides, her current cultivation level was negligible, and he wasn’t prepared to confront her as the Heaven Emperor just yet.
Therefore…
For now, let it be. No changes.
Certainly, those apanying Gu Chaoyan did not anticipate that the sess of the n would hinge on the people she was leading. If she hadn’t brought Gu Chaoyan along, the n might have seeded.
However, whether this turn of events was positive or negative, aplete judgment was yet to be made.
However, the duo found themselves in a tight spot.
They were brought before the Sect Leader of Xing Sect, who, with hands behind his back, sighed heavily as he regarded them.
“I can’t say you’re stupid; you’re quite clever. Climbing to the entrance of the Sky Sect outside its borders and then ascending to the clouds upon reaching the Xing Sect—truly unique. Not many can pull off such feats.” The Sect Leader of Xing Sect, however, was not generous in his appraisal.
He hadn’t desired such an individual in the first ce.
She seemed naive and unaware.
Having been in the Xing Sect for only a few days, she had managed to ascend to the sky’s limits and was even discovered.
Ironically, the female official overseeing her hadmended her performance, iming she had improved and be more diligent.
Little did they know, it was all part of her strategy to swiftly climb to the clouds.
The Sect Leader of Xing Sect fixed his gaze on Gu Chaoyan, subjecting her to a two-hour scolding. After all, he never wanted her in the first ce, yet she forced her way into the sect, causing trouble. How could he not be infuriated?
The person next to Gu Chaoyan observed the scene with confusion.
Both had made the mistake together, so why was the Sect Leader solely berating Gu Chaoyan? It left her feeling embarrassed, as if she had brought the trouble upon them, only to be scolded in the end.
“Sect Leader, I was involved in the same actions,” she volunteered.
“You’re not meless either.” The Sect Leader nced at her before resuming his pointed scolding directed at Gu Chaoyan.
Helplessly shrugging, she looked at Gu Chaoyan sympathetically.
How unlucky.
Gu Chaoyan had already been unfortunate enough to join the Xing Sect and incur the displeasure of its Sect Leader. Her misfortune, however, continued to escte.
After six grueling hours, the weary Sect Leader of Xing Sect finally released them.
“From now on, both of you will be responsible for cleaning the back mountain. Don’t cause any more trouble. If you do, I won’t hesitate to take severe measures,” the Sect Leader of Xing Sect dered.
In a more straightforward situation, expelling someone from the Sky Sect would be a minor consequence.
However, higher authorities didn’t permit it.
He was still obligated to retain her. Otherwise, why would he be so infuriated?
