Chapter 278: - Eternal me and Fae Beast

    ?

    [Name: Mortar]

[Efficient Laborer (SS) - Master Builder (A) - Irresistible Yawner (B)]

[Efficient Laborer: Completes tasks with remarkable speed and stamina, making them invaluable for rapid construction and resource gathering.]

[Master Builder: Designs and constructs advanced buildings with unique attributes.]

[Irresistible Yawner: Induces yawning in others when they yawn, causing contagious yawning among nearby residents.]

After observing hundreds of townspeople, Broken often discovered rather rare and seemingly useless talents in those who otherwise appeared unremarkable, like Mortar. For some strange reason, Mortar had the peculiar talent of yawning continuously. It was a skill utterly useless on its own, and if it weren''t for his other exceptional abilities, Mortar would likely have been overlooked by everyone.

However, Mortar possessed an Efficient Laborer talent with an SS rating-a rating so rare it could be counted on one hand among the hundreds of people Broken encountered that day. Additionally, he had a Master Builder talent with an A rating.

Despite his constant yawning, Mortar was truly born to be a builder. Maybe "Legendary Yawning Builder" would be an apt nickname for him? But Broken had started tobel people with the word "Legendary" as well?

The other builders whoined about Mortar to Broken didn''t hold a candle to Mortar''s worth. So yes, Mortar was indeed priceless and needed to be well taken care of.

Seeing the frustration among the builders, Broken decided to share his thoughts.

"If you think I''m not being fair, then until evening, whoever can work faster and better than him will receive three gold coins from me. Otherwise, I expect you to return to your tasks as assigned."

"How can we be sure your im is justifiable?"

    "We want justice now."

"Take the challenge, or you can leave," Broken replied casually. He then nced at Livelywood. "Thanks for your help, Livelywood. Let me know if anyone outperforms Mortar." With that, Broken walked away.

The first builder stared after him. "Look at him. He just walked away without giving a real answer."

"He''s an irresponsible Baron," another builder muttered.

Just then, Livelywood stepped in to address the builders again.

"Everyone, I hope you can ept the Baron''s challenge. I''ll watch until the evening, and if anyone can work more efficiently than Mortar, the Baron will reward you with three gold coins."

One builder grumbled, "I''ll prove the Baron''s ipetence by outworking Mortar."

Another nodded, saying, "Let''s show him that we are experienced workers."

With that, the builders resumed their posts, determined to prove their worth.

Broken had an important discussion nned with Maylock that day about a mission he had postponed for some time. Once he returned to The House of Slumdon, he found himself in the main room with three people: Elincia, Maylock, and Goldrich.

"Broken,e over here," Goldrich said. "I heard you want to discuss something important. Let''s see how we can help you."

Broken joined them without dy and got straight to the point. "Have you guys ever heard of the Eternal me Eye?"

"Eternal me Eye?" Maylock repeated, exchanging confused looks with Elincia and Goldrich.

"Is this rted to what Livelywood and Starfall have experienced?" Maylock asked, seeking confirmation from Elincia and Goldrich.

    Goldrich nodded slowly.

"From your reactions, it seems you know something about this item," Broken continued.

The Eternal me Eye was a material needed to craft the Unseen Universe Ne Blueprint. This blueprint was something Broken had received from Gia and required a Moonstone along with other gathered materials. The only missing piece was the Eternal me Eye. Despite searching the inte extensively, he found no information about it.

    [Unseen Universe Ne Blueprint]

    [Grade: Unique ~ Legendary]

    [.....]

[You will need some Orichalcum, one Eternal me Eye, and a highly sought-after Moonstone to craft this exquisite ne.]

[A hidden feature was discovered. You can add a Monster Soul Stone of a Fairy-type creature to the material in order to add an intelligent guardian to the pocket dimension.]

Maylock nodded. "So, you''re finally opening up to us about such important matters, Broken?" he said with a smile.n/?/vel/b//in dot c//om

"I''ve been trying to find out more about this item, but I haven''te across any useful information. And the name itself is so odd-an Eye from an Eternal me. What is this Eternal me anyway?" Broken replied.

Elincia added with a giggle, "Where do you even find the need for such strange items, Broken? First, you have us battle the raid boss Vine Horror Treant, and now this Eternal me Eye." "Is the Eternal me Eye really so troublesome that you all seem so hesitant?" "The Eternal me is a creature found only in the Dissidia Kingdom, as far as I know," Goldrich exined. "Maybe other yers have discovered it but haven''t shared anything about it. It''s a strange creature, and we don''t really understand where ites from." Elincia chimed in, "I think Livelywood and Starfall might know more about it. But I''m sure you''vee to the right people to discuss the Eternal me, Broken."

Broken smiled, realizing he had indeed found the right group who could finally give him some clues about the Eternal me or the item called the Eternal me Eye.

Maylock continued, "So, are you just looking for information, or do you actually need the Eternal me Eye?"

"I need it," Broken replied without hesitation. "Is it possible to acquire the item?" Maylock''s lips curled into a slight smile. "I''m not trying to underestimate you, Broken. But I know you''ll need help to get this item. Even if we''re willing to go with you to find it, I worry you might be dragging us into another suicide mission."

Elincia giggled at Maylock''s words. "Broken, do you have a specific reason for wanting the Eternal me Eye? Can you share it with us?"

Broken nodded slowly. "Yes, of course. I have no reason to hide this, especially since I''ll probably need your help too. I need that item to craft something important," he said

    carefully.

"It''s a blueprint I got from a quest Ipleted. It''s of significant value, I believe, though I''m not exactly sure what kind of item it will yield. But I feel it''s a blueprint that needs to bepleted soon, as it has been sitting in my inventory for a while now."

Elincia nodded at his exnation and then turned to Goldrich.

"Eternal me Eye," Goldrich replied slowly. "Acquiring it will be challenging since it''s a rare item and not something you can just buy at an auction. The only way to get it is to hunt down the creature that possesses it and hope you obtain it."

"What kind of creature is that?" Broken asked.

"A Fae Beast," Maylock answered. "Have you ever heard of Fae Beasts, Broken?"

"I know of fae, it''s faery, right? But I''ve never encountered creatures like that, especially not

    Fae Beasts."

"Correct, a Fae Beast is a Faery Beast," Maylock exined. "And the Eternal me is one type of Fae Beast."

From the blueprint in his possession, Broken had discovered a hidden feature: adding a Soul

Stone from a Faery-type creature would grant a special effect to the final product. Given Maylock and the others'' answers, it made sense that the Eternal me would be associated with Faeries. So, he guessed that he could obtain both items by hunting the Eternal me creature, a being still shrouded in mystery for him.

"Can you tell me more about this Eternal me Fae Beast?"
