Chapter 422: - Daily lives of The Overworked Gamer

    As soon as Leon got back to his ce, he went straight to his room. For some reason, his body felt incredibly heavy, and his eyes seemed too tired to stay open. He copsed onto the bed, falling asleep almost immediately. He couldn''t even remember what time he drifted off, but he knew he was utterly exhausted.


    Suddenly, he woke up, unsure of how long he had been out. His body felt like it had released a lot of tension. He quickly checked the time-1a.m. Lily? Has shee home yet?


    With groggy eyes, he opened his messages and skimmed through one from Lily. It mentioned that he had forgotten to close his bedroom''s door and some other things, but Leon didn''t bother reading the rest. He was too tired and drifted back to sleep.


    A knock on the door jolted him awake. He checked the time again-it was 7 a.m. Wow, he had slept that long?!


    Lily was knocking from outside.


    "Yes, Lily? Come in."


    The door opened, and Lily stepped in, holding something in her hand.


    "Hey, are you okay?" she asked, pressing the object to Leon''s forehead. A soft beep followed, and Leon blinked, still half-asleep.


    "Hm... your temperature is normal," she said, ncing at him. "Brother, what happened to you?"


    "Huh?" Leon mumbled, barely able to process her question.


    Leon couldn''t remember how long he had slept, but it felt like the deepest, longest sleep he''d had in months. Sitting up, still feeling the weight of sleep on his body, he realized he could probably sleep another 10 hours if he wanted to.


    "Hey, are you okay? It''s not like you to sleep this long. And aren''t you supposed to be training this early?" Lily asked, concerned.


    "Yeah..." Leon replied softly. "I just feel like sleeping forever. I''ve been so tired."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om


    Lily sat down on a chair nearby and giggled. "That''s probably a good sign-it shows you''re still human. You''ve been pushing yourself with all that gaming these past few days, haven''t you? Go back to sleep, or if you prefer, have some breakfast first and then just rx for the day. I''m heading off to school," she said, standing up.


    She nced at Leon one more time before leaving the room.


    Leon closed his eyes again, finally acknowledging just how exhausted he really was. He hadn''t noticed the toll it was taking until now, but his body had clearly hit a breaking point. That''s why he had slept so long.


    It wasn''t just physical exhaustion, though. His mind and spirit had been drained too.


    He took a deep breath, trying to center himself, and this time he truly felt better. His mind was clearer, his body more refreshed. He guessed he''d slept about 8 or 9 hours, which was the longest rest he''d had in months.


    Finally, Broken decided to do some light training. He got ready to hit the gym, nning to spend around 30-40 minutes warming up his body. Although it meant missing out on a good chunk of his login time today, it didn''t bother him. He needed these real-world activities to clear his mind, especially after the exhausting experience in Hell that had drained both his energy and spirit.


    He started his run on the treadmill, focusing on his pace, when someone began running on the machine next to him.


    "Hi... handsome," a familiar voice called out.


    Leon nced to his left and saw a woman with her ck hair tied back, running beside him. It was Olivia.


    "Hi, Olive... why do you always suddenly show up next to me when I''m running?" he teased.


    "Oh, I''m stalking you... does that make you happy?" she replied with a yful tone.


    "Ah, yes, of course I''m happy to be stalked by someone smart, beautiful, and overly confident," he joked back.


    Olivia giggled and sped up her run. "You didn''t reply to my message fromst night!" she said with a hint of firmness.


    "Really?" Leon sighed. "I just woke up and came straight here. Sorry, I''ll reply after this run." Olivia smiled and kept her pace. "You seem exhausted, huh."


    Leon nodded with a tired smile. "Yeah, that expedition really wore me out. And you guys are going back for more?"


    "We don''t have a choice," she sighed.


    After finishing his light morning workout, Leon got ready and headed to campus, driving his Northstar EV. He had no immediate ns to log into the game, so today would be focused on real-life activities.


    As he walked through the campus corridors, he noticed a few people ncing his way. While he had started getting used to this attention, it still felt odd. His growing poprity in Immortal Legacy seemed to be spilling over into his everyday life, and that was something he wasn''t entirelyfortable with yet.


    He sighed, making his way to ss. Scanning the seats, he spotted Laura and made his way over to sit beside her, as had be their usual routine.


    "Hi... I noticed you haven''t been online since you left my cest night," she said, giving him a curious look.


    "Yeah, I ended up sleeping really deeply," Leon replied.


    Laura giggled. "That''s not like you, you know... you never miss out on login time. How many hours have you skipped today?"


    "I think I''m just worn out," he admitted with a grin.


    "Take a vacation or a day off. Let me know if you need help with anything," she said, smiling


    warmly.


    "Thanks, Laura."


    Their conversations had evolved ever since Leon learned about Laura''s in-game identity. Now they could talk more freely about Immortal Legacy without any secrets between them. It was a refreshing change, as their discussions now covered more ground than just schoolwork. That afternoon, after his sses, Leon headed to the Martial Art Center for his Kenjutsu training. It was another day spent fully immersed in real-world activities, a much-needed break from his usual routine.


    During the training session, Hazel was there too, and Leon couldn''t help but notice how skilled she was with the sword. Her quick adaptation to Kenjutsu techniques confirmed what Lily had mentioned-Hazel was also a sword user in Immortal Legacy with a high level. Yet, despite these hints, both Hazel and Lily still hadn''t revealed their in-game identities to him. But honestly, as long as Lily was happy, enjoying herself, and staying focused on school- without dealing with ssmates bullying her like before-that was enough for Leon.


    The training session wrapped up, and Leon stepped out of the center with Hazel beside him.


    "Lily mentioned you guys are going on a trip this weekend... Can I join?" Hazel asked, ncing at him with a hopeful smile. "Lily told me about it, but she purposely forbade me when I said I wanted toe."


    "Oh..." Leon suddenly remembered his promise to Lily. "Yeah, Hazel, I think you cane. It''s just a small getaway nearby."


    "Thanks, Leon!" Hazel beamed, then dashed off as her ride pulled up. "Bye!" she called out with a wave before hopping into the car.


    Leon checked the time-it was alreadyte afternoon. He felt satisfied, having spent the entire day focused on real-world activities.


    "I guess it''s time to head back," he said to himself. "The Princess is probably waiting for her


    sword."


    Smiling at the thought, he walked toward his car, which rolled up to the lobby and opened its door automatically as he approached.
