Chapter 440: - Little Pawpaw, let’s go home
?
Bob and the four other yers-who knows how many were actually involved-were shamelessly bragging about what they had done to the vigers. They talked about it withughter and without a hint of guilt, even nning to do it again.
Whatever punishment Broken had in store for them that night wasn''t going to stop them. If anything, he was doing it as much for revenge as anything else.
Was it childish? Maybe. He wasn''t even 40 yet, so perhaps not quite wise enough to let it go.
This was about venting, letting out the frustrations he had bottled up from his school days. Or maybe it was about what Bob had done to him at the convenience store. After all, Bob had fired Broken without any real reason!
Well, time to let this anger loose, even if only for a few moments-or minutes-or hours? Haha!
Broken kicked TheBoss in the head, sending him sprawling to the ground again. Two of the other yers rushed over to help him up, but Broken quickly kicked them both, sending them crashing to the dirt in turn.
Their levels were high-an average of 160-but fear had gripped them so tightly they could barely react as Broken''s kicksnded on them, again and again. They were helpless under his relentless assault.
Broken drew The Scorchyer and shed at their bodies.
[Wrath of the Infernal King (Active Skill)]
The skill unleashed a flurry of six rapid strikes, crashing into the three yers.
"Please, spare us, just end it-please!" they begged, falling to their knees, pleading for mercy. But Broken didn''t stop. He kept kicking them, stomping on their heads.
"Tell me everything you did to the vigers," he demanded.
"I... I cut a kid''s hand with my sword," TheBoss confessed. In response, Broken shed his face with his de.
He kept going, kicking one, then the other, in turn.
"I''ll keep this up until I''m tired... and that''s not happening anytime soon," he said coldly. "Please, forgive us, we won''t do it again!" one of the other yers whimpered, sobbing for mercy. But no matter how deep their wounds got, the Elder Tree Dragon healed them each time, and Broken continued to deal damage, mercilessly battering them without pause.
This was undeniably brutal-a vicious beating that would leave deep scars and a thirst for vengeance in their hearts. Yet, they would never know who had done this to them.
"Empty your inventories," Brokenmanded, still kicking them repeatedly. "I''ll end this faster if you drop everything."
Two of the yers, trembling, started pulling out their weapons, stripping off their armor, and dropping random items from their inventories.
TheBoss, already resigned to his fate, took another kick to the face, sending him sprawling across the ground.
"Empty your inventory," Broken demanded again.
Finally, TheBoss, face etched with defeat, began removing his armor andying down his weapons. He emptied his inventory as well-potions, monster cores, materials, enchantment stones, blessed stones. A pile of itemsy before them.
"I''ve given you everything... just kill me already," TheBoss said.
Unbeknownst to Broken, two figures stood in the distance, watching and waiting, observing the entire scene unfold from afar.
Two men sat atop arge rock-one with a bow in hand, the other standing beside him, dressed in a white robe.
"Oh, let me take another look... I''m curious to see what else he''s doing to them," the man in the robe chuckled. "Lend me your spyss.
The archer handed over the copsible, cylindrical tool to hispanion.
"Whoa... hahaha! I can''t believe Broken''s capable of this! Hahaha!" the robed manughed. "But Maylock, are you sure that''s Broken? I mean, how did he get that much power? He''s nothing like before."
Maylock, who had been sitting on the rock, sighed. "I came here to finish this mission- hunting down those idiotic yers. But Elincia mentioned she gave this information to Broken as well."
"Still, that doesn''t mean it''s him, right?"
"That cat... it''s the demon egg that''s already hatched. Elincia said it looks like a small cat. And that dragon, it''s a Gaia summon. Chances are Broken knows those yers in real life, and he''s taking out some personal grudge on them."
"Hahahaha..." Toberry the Alchemist clutched his stomach, struggling to contain hisughter. "This is just so satisfying to watch, seeing this unexpected side of Broken. Seems like he''s really not someone to be messed with."
"Yes, he''s dangerous. Anyone who gets in his way... he won''t hesitate to fight back," Maylock said, rising to his feet and storing his bow in his inventory. "Let''s head back. I doubt those fools will ever set foot here again. They''re probably so traumatized they won''t even dare to log back into the game, ha!"
Toberry was stillughing as he turned to follow Maylock back down the path.
Broken stepped back and sat on the rocks, watching from a distance as Pawpaw and Dendros, whom he had summoned, continued to beat the three yers senseless. He was trying to conserve Mana for another Gaia''s Beast summon, so he had called Dendros instead, cloaked in Vermilion Dusk for visual upgrade.
"You said you would let us die-why are we still being tortured?" one of them cried out. "Please, stop! I swear I''ll nevere back here again!" another yer pleaded.
But Broken just watched calmly, unmoved. He observed as theyy crumpled on the ground, helplessly dragged by Pawpaw''s massive jaws. Pawpaw chewed on them, spat them out, and then Dendros would hammer them with brutal strikes.
Pawpaw had pinned one yer beneath its massive body, whilezily toying with another, lifting him up and nibbling on his legs as if he were a cat ying with a mouse.
As Broken watched, he mused to himself, realizing just how durable Pawpaw''s Vermilion Dusk ability really was. Maybe it was because Pawpaw hadn''t been doing much beyond controlling the elements-it wasn''t using any other skills. The Mana drain might be much worse in a more intense battle, but right now, with these three, they were just toying with them.
The three yers had all but given up. Their spirits were broken. They no longer even begged for mercy; they justy there, soulless, epting their punishment as if they''d already died
inside.
In battle mode, no one could log out of the game, so Broken decided to keep this going until Pawpaw had its fill. Eventually, Dendros'' summon duration expired, and it vanished. As the night wore on, the shadows created by Vermilion Dusk also began to fade.
The three yersy sprawled on the ground, utterly drained. They weakly crawled and raised
their hands in desperation, as if begging for release.
"Please... just kill me. I can''t take this anymore," TheBoss groaned.
Broken turned his back on them, leaping onto ze''s back. "Do whatever you want with
them. Eat them or whatever," hemanded.
"Rawr!" Pawpaw growled in response.
Without hesitation, Pawpaw devoured the three yers in one gulp, chewing them up while their arms and legs dangled from its mouth. As it chewed, one of the hands broke off and dissolved into pixels.
Momentster, the three yers disintegrated entirely, their bodies scattering into pixels,
vanishing from the game.
"Woah... these human yers taste good, I want to eat more of them..." Pawpaw said, then let out a loud belch that made his whole body shake. As the Vermilion Dusk effect wore off, his body shrank back to its small form, floating in the air before finally plopping onto the ground.
"Ouch!" Pawpaw yelped, rubbing his head.
From the side, a fox with four glowing tails approached, its body radiating light in the dark
night. The fox nudged Pawpaw with its nose.
"Little Pawpaw,e on, it''s time to go home."n/?/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Pawpaw burped again, and Polly, the fox, gently grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and
tossed him onto her back.
"I want to eat the big fox... but I''m too full," Pawpaw mumbled before dropping his head and
falling fast asleep.
Polly trotted up beside Broken, who was riding ze.
"Master, why didn''t you invite me too?" she asked softly.
Broken nced over at her. "You? Really?" he chuckled. "I''m not sure you''d have the heart to
do what just happened, Polly..."
"But they were your enemies, weren''t they? I would''ve been just as ruthless as Pawpaw," she
insisted.
Broken, having removed his helmet, smiled. "Alright then, let''s have some fun next time."
