Chapter 651: Chapter 651 - The Four Gates of War
?
Dissidia Kingdom, Capital City.
Hundreds, thousands-maybe even more-wereing from every direction. Dozens of spinning portals continued to churn, unleashing wave after wave of monsters in an endless cascade.
The creatures-no, the demons-charged at terrifying speed, closing in from the distance. Meanwhile, along every city wall, the kingdom''s soldiers, Knights, and yers had already assembled, ready to meet the onught outside the gates.
This was an unprecedented emergency, a sudden event of staggering proportions. Yet, because many yers had spected something like this might happen, most of those who had gathered were well-prepared. The majority were high-level, fully equipped for the challenge.
The number of yers gathered at the Capital this time was several times greater than those who had defended Deadbay City. Among them were many with levels surpassing 180, and even a significant number over level 200.
The kingdom''s knights and troops quickly took their positions, each ready to stand their ground. In mere seconds, the first sh-no, a massive sh-was about to erupt. Everyone present was prepared to give their all in this monumental battle.
Of course, no one wanted to die prematurely. They were all determined to survive, to fight, and to im the best rewards this war could offer. To do so, they had to endure, kill as many demons as they could, and prove their worth on the battlefield.
For many, this was their first time facing demons. The thrill, fear, and determination were so thick in the air, as they steeled themselves for what was toe!
Western Gate.
Optimus, d in pristine white heavy armor, his blond hair framing a tall, imposing figure, stood resolutely at the front line. Behind him stretched a massive force of hundreds of yers, their weapons and magic at the ready.
Beside him stood Trison, a man with short ck hair wearing a cream-and-blue robe, a bottle of liquor in hand and a grin stered across his face.
"Kha ha ha!" Trisonughed, swaying slightly as he took another swig. "This is going to be so much fun!"
"Are you sure you''re not too drunk, Trison? We need you to go all-out this time," Optimus said.
"Yeah, yeah, don''t worry about it," Trison replied with azy grin, waving the bottle in the air. "I''ve got plenty more where this came from, Kha ha ha... heugh." He punctuated his words with another long gulp.
Nearby, a man with brown hair and a white robe stood observing the scene. It was Toberry, the Alchemist. Normally, he would be paired with Maylock, but with Maylock absent, he had joined Optimus and Trison at the Western Gate.
"Ah ha ha!" Toberry chuckled, shaking his head. "Optimus, you''d better give it your all. You''ve got two top-tier supports backing you up, after all!"
Optimus nced at him. "I''ll handle this just fine. You focus on supporting the yers around us and doing your job."
"Getting a little cocky, aren''t you? Kha ha... heugh." Trison teased, still grinning as he staggered slightly.
Standing tall, Optimus gazed out into the distance, ready to meet the enemy head-on.
Eastern Gate.
Goldrich and Jovina stood at the very front lines. The old mage, d in his flowing white robe, wore a faint smile as the desert wind swept across his face.
Beside him stood Jovina, the beastmaster, her light green armor gleaming in the sunlight, her short hair tousled but fierce. She was ready, her posture firm.
"Hey, Old Man," Jovina called out with a smirk, "you''re sure your back isn''t acting up, right? I don''t want to see you logging out in the middle of a battle."
"Khi khi khi," Goldrich chuckled. "This old man is brimming with energy, especially when there''s a chance my reputation will soar. Imagine the flocks of adoring women afterward!"
"Ha! Dream on." Jovina pulled out her staff, her grin widening into something wild and fearless. "Come on, you bastards! Mommy Jovina''s ready to feed her babies-ha ha ha!" Jovina whispered softly, a sly grin ying on her lips. "They''re about to witness the greatest beast that just joined my arsenal, thanks to the Guild Master."
Southern Gate.
Starfall, the elementalist mage with flowing ck hair and a striking ck-and-purple outfit, stood beside Livelywood, a sword fighter d in gleaming gold-and-silver heavy
armor.
"Haha!" Livelywood said with his usual cheerful grin. "This is going to be so much fun." "Finally getting to test out your new Unique-grade sword in a real battle, huh?" Starfall remarked with a smirk.
"Yep... though it''s a shame Broken isn''t here yet," Livelywood replied. "But hey, I''m sure we can handle plenty before the main forces arrive. And speaking of new toys, isn''t this your first time showing off the power of your Unique-grade magic staff?"
"Yes," Starfall said. "I''m not about to waste the opportunity or the effort the Guild Master put into getting it for us."
"Yeah, same here!" Livelywood grinned again, raising his sword. "Time to have some real fun -haha!"
"You do realize we''re not just facing the little demons, right, Livelywood?"
"Yeah, Elincia mentioned there''s a chance Named Demons might show up... ha ha." Livelywood''s grin widened as he pulled his sword from where it rested on his shoulder.
"While Broken''s already taken on two Named Demons, I''m hoping this one gives us a good fight, Starfall."
"Sure, sure," Starfall replied. "I''ll keep an eye on your back. Just don''t get reckless out there." "As always." Livelywood''s grin didn''t falter as he shifted into a ready stance, eager for the
battle ahead.
Northern Gate.
A towering man with blond hair stood firm, his gleaming white heavy armor catching the faint rays of light. In his left hand, he gripped a massive shield, its surface polished to a mirror finish. Beside him stood a woman d in a sleek ninja outfit of ck and purple, her hood partially pushed back to reveal strands of dark hair spilling out.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Ch! I just hope these idiot yers don''t mess up my work," Skywarden grumbled.
"Some of them are skilled support yers," Charmelyn replied calmly, her eyes scanning the crowd. "I''m sure they''ll do enough to help us hold out longer in the fight."
"Support''s useless if they''re just clueless fools who don''t know how to y properly. Ch!" Skywarden snapped again, his irritation evident in the set of his jaw.
"We''ll hold the North Gate until Broken, Elincia, and Ivana get here," Charmelyn reminded
him.
"That''s an easy job!" Skywarden dered.
[Mikelton]: "This is gonna be epic! Northern Gate holding it down until the big guns arrive?
Let''s gooo!"
[Jeffo21184]: "Skywarden''s gonna roast more yers than demons at this rate."
[Abbys_Chronicle66]: "Trison''s over there living his best drunk life, haha."
[TickNick]: "Livelywood''s too cheerful for a battle, lol. What a mood!"
[lineupliam]: "Will Optimus finally meet his match? Nah, dude''s built different. North Gate''s
gonna be solid!"
[Fightrknight]: "The Western Gate crew is straight chaos, lol. Love it! ["
[Troy_Bates]: "Trison better not pass out mid-battle, lol. Western Gate is chaotic, but I''m
here for it! ["
Despite the presence of many high-level yers in this battle, all eyes remained fixed on the members of the Vensalor Guild. Most of them were former members of the legendary Ass Guild, and their reputation alone made them the center of attention.
The Western Gate was under the protection of Optimus, a renowned fighter celebrated for his ability to hold his ground in both solobat and against multiple foes simultaneously. He was not someone to be underestimated, with martial arts skills that made him a formidable
force on the battlefield.
Alongside Optimus were two other key yers: Trison, the best healer in the Vensalor Guild, infamous as the "Drunken Healer," and Toberry, a master of the alchemist ss whose potions provided a wide array of boosts and utilities to aid their side.
The Eastern Gate was defended by Goldrich, the mage with the highest number of spells in Immortal Legacy. Known for his humble disys of wealth, Goldrich was apanied by Jovina, the top-ranked BeastMaster in the game.
At the Southern Gate, the talented sword fighter Livelywood held the line alongside Starfall, a versatile elemental mage who could adapt to any situation. Together, they were a deadlybination of precision and raw magical power.
The Northern Gate was protected by two of the most dangerous yers in the game. Charmelyn, a lethal assassin, the Envy Champion, and Skywarden, the Vensalor Guild''s strongest defenders.
As the demons drew closer, the battlefield erupted into chaos. yers shouted at the top of
their lungs, their cries blending into a deafening roar. From a distance, magic orbs streaked through the air, their bright glow cutting through the darkened sky, while a rain of arrows descended upon the charging enemy.
"Attack!" everyone yelled, themand echoing as the battle began in full force.
