    Demian raised his chin slowly, his gaze fixed on the dome-shaped domain looming before him. A faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips as if he already knew the oue of what was about to unfold.


    He stood motionless for a moment before ncing over his shoulder. Behind him, a group of knights had arrived, apanied by a handful of yers. Although the yers didn''t seem poised to attack, they lingered, perhaps out of curiosity-or their usual foolish tendencies.


    "Lord Demian, you are hereby charged with treason and the assassination of the King," one of the knights dered.


    Suddenly, a piercing scream erupted from within the domain.


    "DEMIAN!"


    It was unmistakably Alora''s voice.


    "YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!"


    Simultaneously, a wave of energy burst from inside the domain, rippling through the air and causing the walls of the domain to tremble faintly.


    Demian''s faint smile widened slightly as he turned back to face the knights.


    "The King is dead," he said. "And I am the rightful heir, the only one with a legitimate im to the throne. Does your rebellion against your new king not count as treason?"


    The lead knight stood firm. "You are no rightful heir to the throne," he retorted. "You''vemitted treason and murder. Your sentence is death."


    Demian chuckled softly, shaking his head as if the knight''s words amused him.
