Chapter 17: The End of Madness


    With the amputation of the limbs concluded, the removal of the excess parts was sessfully carried out. Either from a sense of relief and aplishment or possibly from the exhaustion of single-handedly severing human limbs over such a long period of time, I copsed into slumber shortly after I settled down on the sofa.


    The charitys work on Akane had yet to be made to itspletion, though


    Even as I was sinking into sleep, Akanes figure kept re-emerging in my dreams.


    I, on behalf of Akane, who has suffered the loss of all four limbs and therefore was powerless to do anything on her own, supported her in her day-to-day life. Akane smiled softly in return, expressing her gratitude.

    While rubbing my eyes, I nced toward the operating table. Though I suspected the impossibility, Akane did not escape and remained lying on the operating table. Having lost all four limbs, escaping was out of the question, but I wondered was it the kidnappers nature to be anxious about the possibility of escape.


    In order to behold the actual Akane, I rose from the sofa and went to check on her, who was still asleep on the operating table. Unaware of the abnormality in her own body, Akane was still quietly closing her eyes.


    Im sorry, Akane, but what I did to you will be over in a little while before the final touches are made.


    Touching Akanes cheek, I gently caressed her lustrous hair.


    For this day, I had prepared a final touch that was only worthy of you, my beautiful and beloved.


    I could confidently assert that both Akane and I would be pleased with it.
