There were 12 secretaries handling different tasks at the office, while the outstanding one was none other than our heroine herself, Lu Zhaoyang.

“Man look at her back, those curves. Damn, we sure have a hot secretary at our office. Well if only Miss Lu would stop dressing like an old spinster. No one dresses entirely ck like a witch nowadays.”

“Well, excuseeee me.” A rather mboyant-looking woman decided to chip in, “Spinster? Ohe on, don’t you girls know how she got this position in the first ce? She basically got it with painful knees! I mean, look at those loosely spread legs!”

“Shhhh! Stop pulling our legs. Miss Lu is our senior you know?”

“Well, if you do use your eyes, you can observe the truth yourself sometimes. This Senior Secretary Lu of yours always has works to do with the president for which she would visit the president VERY often. They’ll lock themselves up for the next hour, sometimes even the whole afternoon. I think you aren’t too naive to think they’re doing actual business works, right?”

“Oh wow... look at your ugly words. Even if our Senior Lu does have a thing with the president, I think you’re just jealous.”

The junior had a point. Huo Yunting the President was, in fact, the #1 Wealthy Single Man on the entire globe this year. More importantly, he was single and very handsome too. If you are joining the fandom now, it would be toote, as the number of women in the queue might be of an astronomical figure by now.

Lu Zhaoyang was unaware of the gossips around her. She cleared up all her workload for the day and left the office after tiringly punching her card. It was half-past 10 at night and the office was empty. In the cold wind, she tightened the embrace of her coat. She was waving for a cab by the road, till a dark Rolls-Royce arrived before her.

The window was rolled down, revealing the fine profile of a man. A piece of mint candy tumbled in his chiseled face, as a hint ofziness was seen.

    “Get in the car.”

Lu Zhaoyang gently lowered her eyes, “I can go home by myself. Thank you very much,” she said softly.

Like seriously, it would be a chore to exin the situation if anyone saw this!

“Don’t make me repeat my order, woman.”Huo Yunting frowned, as his tone hardened.

It was a sad realization when Lu Zhaoyang noticed that her rejection, whether a kind one or not, had no effect on him. She took a deep breath, pulled the door open and sat in the backseat.

Within 30 minutes, the exquisite ride arrived by the most gorgeous neighborhood in the city. The car then parked at a European bungalow.

Lu Zhaoyang got out of the car first. Being the assistant she was, she patiently stood right outside of Huo Yunting’s seat and waited for the man to exit too. Nevertheless, the expected silence from the car was not heard. Instead, “Fetch.” Something flew through the window.

Lu Zhaoyang caught it quick, only to realize it was a red envelope, branded with the letters “MARRIAGE CERT” in gold. “Find a ce and store it.” Lu gasped, “Y-yes sir.” Her voice sounded hoarse.

The red envelope was a reminder of her officialmitment to Huo Yunting.

She was not a simple subordinate of his at the office, while she was legally his wife and also a—

Nevermind... it would be aplicated story to tell.

Huo Yunting rested his elbow at the window, with his hand against his cheek. He took a good look at his woman and the pale face of hers. His pupils then darkened, seemingly amused, “What are you doing, goofing around there? Are you still reminiscing the happiest moment of your life, a.k.a the time you and I took that certificate of our eternal rtionship?”

    “...”

The happiest, moment, of, my life?

    Reminiscing?

Nobody would reminisce nightmares even if that was theirst thing to do.

    “In your dr-”

“If you think you aren’t having enough fun... Well, perhaps we could y the divorce game, then we could have another marriage, making the same vow, to take that certificate again and again.” Huo Yunting interrupted teasingly.

His bright smile when he said that, UGH!

Lu Zhaoyang nearly snapped. One day, she would make sure that he would wipe that pretentious grin off his face!
