He turned to return to his desk, showing off his slender figure and wilful demeanour.
Lu Zhaoyang turned around to face the wall, and quickly redid the buttons on her blouse.
Asking Xue Yuming to get a divorce with Huo Zhenning was impossible!
She had came too far and endured so much for their union. Wouldn’t a divorce mean that all her efforts in the past had gone down the drain?
No matter what Huo Yunting was thinking, she must go back home tonight.
After making herself presentable again, she left the office without sparing another nce at her boss.
Huo Yunting already knew about dinner, so there was no need for her to confirm his attendance with him again.
Since they had to leave early, they left the office before the usual working hours were up.
On the way to the airport, Huo Yunting continued to steal looks at her. “Is your tongue better now?”
“It’s not entirely healed yet.” She replied immediately. Speaking was alright, but it still hurt to do so.
“Aha, my benefits...” He smiled and angled toward her. “What do to? I’m growing impatient.”
Lu Zhaoyang edged toward the car window in silent protest.
“Come on, my dear, sweet honey bunny, please let me in...” Huo Yuntingughed yfully and teased her, andughed even more when her expression turned cold.
She stayed quiet and ignored him, but the more she retreated the more he advanced!
“No? Let me try that again — my gorgeous honey pie, please let me in...”
She reached out to shut his mouth with one hand, but he simply licked her palm instead. Lu Zhaoyang pulled her hand back immediately and wiped it with tissue.
You — you! You shameless b*stard!
Huo Yunting watched her reaction and smiled again, unoffended. “Lu Zhaoyang, you look cuter and cuter everyday.”
“...”
Lu Zhaoyang remained quiet, and the man kept to himself for the rest of the journey to the Huo residence.
When they stepped out of the car, she put on her signature amiable smile on her face.
Huo Yunting took a quick nce at her, and then hastened into the house.
Lu Zhaoyang followed him. She could already hear him fooling around before she stepped into the house.
“Grandma, are you sure you went overseas to treat your illness? I think you just went to do some face-lifting. Look at you, I’d say you look twenty years younger now. Which hospital was it? I’ll have to give it a shot when I grow old.”
“You monkey, you’re still the carefree little boy that I remembered. When you’re as old as your grandpa, I know you’ll still look handsome!”
Old Mrs Huo had a warm, motherly figure with wrinkles crawling all over her skin. Nevertheless, she still carried herself with great dignity.
She greeted Huo Yunting fondly, clearly pleased to see him.
“I have the genes from you and grandpa to thank for.” Huo Yunting saw down beside her and took another quick and almost imperceptible nce at Lu Zhaoyang.
Lu Zhaoyang approached the old Mrs Huo gracefully and bowed her head with a smile. “Good day, grandma, I am Lu Zhaoyang. Please call me Yang Yang.”
Old Mrs Huo knew that her eldest son had married a new woman, who had a daughter of her own. She had already seen her new daughter-inw and found her young and presentable.
The daughter seemed to be behaving in an eptable matter as well, almost like the youngdy of any respectable family out there.
“Good child, we’re family now.”
Old Mrs Huo was pleased by her looks and the way she carried herself.
She was just a child, after all, and could not interfere with matters of her parents.
