“Did I just hear a threat?” Mumbled the man. He stared interestingly, like Columbia on his discovery.
“Not like you can’t stay at home without me. I am stating the fact, that’s all.”
Lu knew there would no doubt be a hair-pulling drama if Huo returned to their parents, with Madam Xue “standing” in his way, thus the need of him “showing justice”.
If he never met his father again this time, there would be no more from his father next time.
All the better for father and son.
“You are quite right, I can’t sleep...” Lu’s body was pulled in, “...without you every night.” Lu started struggling like a butterfly on a spider web.
“Why bother?” His arms wrapped their bodies together as a passionate kiss scorched Lu’s cheeks, “Oh well, since you’ve pleaded me, I can’t say no but to head home with you as part of our vacation.”
“...”
Really? It’s your own house, how is it a vacation?
“Okay, sure. It’s just a brief visit anyway. Nothing will happen to you.”
Pretty sure something will happen to somebody else though. I mean, the serpent never gets poisoned, it’s always the prey.
“Wait, Huo Yunting, you have been talking about the ‘second son’, don’t tell me that it’s...”
I’m getting a baby brother when my mother is almost ready for her retirement?
“It’s not,” replied Huo promptly with eyes rolling, “I was just saying. Look at you, aren’t you supposed to be happy?”
“Of course I am. But you shouldn’t be happy,” she said with her back straightened, “This feels too in for such a ceremonial setting.”
It was a quiet marriage between them back then. No way they would be act high-profiled just because my mother survived the delivery. A massive party? That’s a little too pompous to me.
Lu looked at the stack of work that came in flocks to her hands on a daily basis. Being a secretary might be all about reviewing and passing documents to the president, but it was still quite a consuming job. She then left with the reviewed documents, only to see Mo Shan drifting into the scene like Glinda.
“Oh how delightful. Long time no see, how are you, my sister?” Greeted Mo Shan, with her usual grace and branded in her angelic smile.
“Great. I’m kind of busy right now, if you would excuse me.”
It was apparently the second time they crossed sights after that night, though it felt as if Mo Shan had forgotten whatever happened that night. Mo Shan did not even remember the deal.
Well, Lu did not care about the deal. She just wanted to be careful with this wicked Snow White in front of her.
Right after Mo Shan walked into the President’s Office, the door went shut and Lu, with her head lowered, leaned against the door made out of mahogany. Soon, a squeak of surprise was heard from the inside, as Mo Shan’s voice rang muffled, “Really? Ting, you’re heading home this weekend too? Great! Let’s go together!”
It was a green light from the wicked Snow White. Lu could not help but to sneer by the door, as she dialed Madam Xue.
What a relief. There’s a recement now. As long as Huo heads home, the one inpany does not matter.
At least, to me.
She had ns for the weekend, even booked a flight ticket for them. With the sunshine of an exotic Southeast Asian country blooming in her imagination, she was dragged into the Rolls-Royce – literally dragged into hell by the lord of the underworld himself. She unwillingly was pressed upon the chair with her sunsses half hanging. Huo poked her nose with his, “Lu Zhaoyang, you are the one who convinced me to go home with you. How dare you intend to ditch me here!”
“Well, isn’t your Cindere joining you? I just thought of hitting the ce myself.”
“She can retain her silly curfew and fragile footwear. You areing with me.”
I just did not want to be the third wheel, is that even illegal?
“You are my wife. Who the heck she is?” Said Huo with a dangerous re.
Looking at the devil grinding his teeth, she turned her face away, only to be forced back into position by his grip.
She stared into his eyes.
