“Have you forgotten something?” Said Huo Yunting as he sauntered to the greeting crew at the kitchen.

“Master, we are regretfully sorry! However it’s still an order from the old missus herself. We musn’t deny!”

“Yeah! Please forgive us! We never forget about you!” The maids never had the courage to lift their heads.

“So you guys are implying that I should talk about this with the old missus herself?” Huo Yunting sneered as he lit up his cigarette. A column of smoke was blown upon the remorseful maids.

“She did propose a brilliant idea though,” continued Yunting, “We have a lot of deserted ces around the mansion.” He glimpsed at the maids, “More than enough to keep all of you.” He red.

“Please, young master! We are really sorry about it! We didn’t mean to do it!”

“We didn’t know it would go this far!” The maids pleaded desperately, truly feeling they were misunderstood since they simply were told by the old missus to not let anybody approach the storeroom and they obeyed in the morning.

“I don’t care,” said Huo Yunting coldly, “You have two options: quit this handsomely paid job, get out of this house *or* you offer yourself to live in the storeroom for two weeks. One at a time, of course. Don’t worry, you’ll be given food once per three days. Don’t have to thank me if you manage to lose a few pounds.” He then rubbed the butt of the cigarette on the te.

“Your wages will still be given. Nobody will stop you from leaving.”

“Please, young master! We won’t do it anymore!”

“Yeah, we didn’t know who was inside! We won’t do it again!”

“I beg you, young master. I’m afraid of the dark, don’t lock me inside there!”

Their wails irritated the young master as he dug his ears with his pinky, “Just take this as favor for granny, as well as a lesson that all of you are no more children and you *should*ment a word or two on certain things in future.” He walked away, leaving the crying maids kneeling on the floor.

“Wait.” Huo Yunting held his steps, as if remembering something. The maids held their tears, thinking that their young master was still merciful after all the threats uttered. Nevertheless, “I forgot I have to do my throwing knife practice,” the young master picked up the fruit knife on the table, “If any of you are willing to be my target dummy, I’ll spare you immediately.”

Excuse me, what kind of throwing knife is that? Nobody throws that kind of knife for sports okay? This KILLS!

Thought the maid even though they were shouting, “We are really sorry, young master! Forgive us!”

“You shut the f*cking hell up! You heard me, you learned your mistake and you also know that SOMEBODY is sleeping upstairs. Try wailing again and I’ll make sure you never make a sound for the rest of your life!”

The maids fell apart as the young master tossed the knife. The knife flew across one maid’s shoulder and dropped onto the ground with a clink.

One of them was going to scream but the otherpletely covered her mouth.

Please. I purposely aimed for the empty space near them, if they would stop acting so dramatically as they fell, nothing would have happened.

Thought Huo Yunting as he headed back to his room.

The second morning came as the snowstorm resided. Lu Zhaoyang woke up and strolled to the dining hall where everyone was already dining there. She started digging in after greeting her family members.

“So...my dear sister from the other family,” Huo Yunting began the moment Lu Zhaoyang took her ss of milk, “How was your stay at the storeroom yesterday? Did you catch a cold?”

“Thank you very much for your concern, I’m alright, my dear brother from the other family,” replied her calmly.

“Oh granny, you must know this. These workers from the house are getting more and more outrageous I tell ya! They actually locked one of their guests at the storeroom for the whole day! Well, do not worry, I had locked them up aftering backst night. Two weeks, granny. Let them have their own taste of their own medicine. What do you think, granny?” Huo Yunting was undisturbed as he made his proposition.

    Wait, what? Two weeks?

Lu Zhaoyang almost spat her milk.

Okay, who can tell me what did he do again after I fell asleepst night?

“Oh...” The olddy hmmed. Of course, she knew what her favorite grandson meant.

He might be punishing the maids but it was a punishment to warn the world.

    Including herself.
