“Used to? Are you not working with him now?”
Qui Ran considered the situation and suddenly realized that the couple could be considering marriage already. An office romance was not appropriate in the long term.
Sheughed and said, “As long as you are both happy, I am d for you. Don’t worry about work, Yunting will take care of you.”
Lu Zhaoyang nibbled on her lower lip awkwardly as she thought it was better to introduce herself more clearly to the old woman.
Hiding her true identity would not be beneficial for their rtionship.
“Aunt Qiu, the truth is... I am here to apologize to you!” Lu Zhaoyang inhaled deeply and braced herself for the ensuing conversation.
Qiu Ran watched her in confusion and after a while, she continued, “My mother is Xue Yuming.”
When Qiu Ran heard the name, she flung Lu Zhaoyang’s hand away and took a few steps back, all in reflex. Her face contorted in horror!
No wonder Lu Zhaoyang looked so familiar. She was the w*nch Xue Yuming’s daughter!
“Get out, get out of my house right now. I don’t need your apology, you daughter-of-a-mistress, you’re as bad as your mother! Get out!” Xiu Ran yelled agitatedly and pointed at the door.
Lu Zhaoyang stood frozen to her spot, taken aback by the sudden change in her demeanour.
“You hear me?! I hate your mother and I hate you. Stop pretending and get out of my face!”
Lu Zhaoyang never imagined that she would react in such an extreme way. She began to approach her to try and soothe her mood.
“Please don’t be upset, I’m not trying to y any games, I just want to...”
“Shut up!” Abruptly, Qiu Ran raised her arms to stop her froming closer. “Lu Zhaoyang, you and your mother will stay away from my son! I don’t want him to have anything to do with you two, do you hear me?!”
“Aunt Qiu, please stay calm. Alright, I’m not going near you, I’m stepping back now...”
Lu Zhaoyang said as she slowly stepped back, thinking that Qiu Ran did not feel right. Was she really close to recovery?
“You’re all terrible people! You and your mother are both sl*ts! I will not allow you to hurt my son, you hear me?!”
Qiu Ran suddenly took a few steps forward and pushed her!
Lu Zhaoyang was caught by surprise and fell backward onto the ground. A jolt of pain shot up her elbow.
She ignored the pain and quickly stood up.
“Okay, okay, you don’t want to see me, so I’m leaving now. Please don’t be so mad...”
Before she finished, Qiu Ran interrupted her. “I don’t want your mock sympathy. Don’t think that I don’t see what you are doing. You are here to show off!”
“I’m not...”
“Get out!!”
By then, a few maids who were watering the nts in the garden had heard her screams. They immediately contacted the psychiatrist who lived next door and rushed to the living room to help Qiu Ran calm down. However, Qiu Ran was in a frenzy and yelled at them too. She even pped them in the face.
Lu Zhaoyang was worried about her and had a bad feeling about Qiu Ran’s condition. She took out her phone to call Huo Yunting.
... No one picked up!
She continued dialing as she watched Qiu Ran.
The old woman was forcefully dragged upstairs by two maids as she continued to scream and yell at Lu Zhaoyang about her and her mother. Her face was twisted with rage and hatred.
Lu Zhaoyang was worried about her mental condition and followed them upstairs. If Huo Yunting were here, his mother might have felt better.
