Rumble —

Huo Yunting’s mind went nk as his phone slowly slid out of his hand andnded squarely on the ground.

Huo Li knew something was up and quickly asked the man what was wrong, but he did not seem to hear him.

    Attemped suicide?

    Unable to save her?

    Passed away...

    “Mr Huo, are you there?”

The person from the hospital spoke through the phone on the ground.

Huo Yunting stood frozen for a long time before Huo Li quietly picked up the phone and passed it back to him.

Huo Yunting ignored everyone around him as he snatched his phone back and ran out of the building.

    He looked frantic.

He recalled how Lu Zhaoyang tried to reach him on his phone repeatedly.

His mother would not have killed herself for no reason. Did Lu Zhaoyang’s presence triggered something in his mother, or did Lu Zhaoyang said something in particr?

It could be like how he used to ridicule her with absolute cruelty...

Huo Yunting started his car and sped toward the hospital.

Awaiting him was a cold, lifeless corpse.

Huo Yunting watched without expression as the white cloth was uncovered, revealing his mother’s body underneath. Her face was pale as a sheet. A deep gash ran across her throat, smearing her in red. He could almost imagine blood gushing out of her throat!

The doctor apanying him dared not make a sound as he quietly stood behind Huo Yunting.

There was his mother, Qiu Ran, lying quietly on the operation table.

Just when Huo Yunting thought his mother was getting better, life gave him a surprise that sucker-punched him!

Was he wrong to treat Lu Zhaoyang well in the first ce?

    ...

Lu Zhaoyang felt troubled after she went home and continued calling Huo Yunting’s phone. For now, his phone was turned off.

He did not call her back. That could be because Aunt Qiu’s condition had stabilized and he was keeping herpany.

After all, she had triggered Qiu Ran. Huo Yunting might not want to see her anytime soon.

    Fine. I’ll leave him alone.

Three dayster, she still did not hear from Huo Yunting.

She could not stand it any longer and drove to Sierra Vi after work.

However, she was informed that Qiu Ran... had passed away!

Her legs felt like they would give way at any moment. Her palms were sweaty and she suddenly found it difficult to breathe.

    How could this be...

    Why was she dead?!

“Ma’am slit her throat and killed herself on the day you visited, which was three days ago. The doctors could not save her!”

A maid exined to her as she looked at Lu Zhaoyang usingly.

Lu Zhaoyang clenched her fists. Tears flowed out of the corner of her eyes but she did not even have the energy to sob.

    Huo Yunting already knew...

It took all her willpower to walk back to her car. Once inside, she cried uncontrobly. She drove to the hospital as fast as she could.

    She was an idiot!

It took her three days to figure out that she should drop by to Sierra Vi!

Huo Yunting had been quietly suffering in the pain of losing his mother.

He must be raging, what could he be doing now?!

Lu Zhaoyang dared not consider it further. Every step she took felt like a stab in her chest.

“Hello, was a patient called Qiu Ran sent here for emergency treatment? Is her family here?”

The nurse on duty looked up at her. She did not need to check the hospital records because she remembered Huo Yunting very clearly!
