Earlier at the florist, Lu Zhaoyang saw the jasmine and was attracted it. She bought two pots of them and ced them in Huo Yunting’s room so that he might rx himself seeing them. It turned out that things backfired and shended in the hospital.
“Is it a trick to gain sympathy?” Huo Yunting could not help but clench her wrists tighter. “I am warning you not to y tricks in front of me.”
Lu Zhaoyang snorted quietly; was she that kind of person?
“Take your hands off me!” She finally got angry as she felt she had been wronged. “Go back to your sleep. I can take care of myself!”
“Asking me to leave now so that you can me it on me when something happens to you?” Huo Yunting replied with a deadpan look.
Moreover, how could he leave considering her condition?
Lu Zhaoyang looked up. Noticing his indifferent expression, she looked away. “I do not mean that. I am sorry to have disturbed your sleep. There will be no next time.”
She would not go to see him anymore.
Noticing her reaction, Huo Yunting thought that his grab was hurting her. He let his hands off her wrist with his brows knitted together.
“No scratching.”
“I know.” The blood transfusion was underway, and the itch had lessened somewhat by now.
There was silence. Lu Zhaoyang was baffled why he did not leave.
He watched her making a fool of herself and gave her a dig, yet he still wanted to stay.
Huo Yunting was an oxymoron.
After fifteen minutes of silence, just as Lu Zhaoyang was about to lift her hand, Huo Yunting held her down.
“What are you doing?” His voice was stern.
“Just wanted to rub my ear,” she exined.
He seemed to be paranoid.
Seeing a few strands of hair cascading down around her ear, Huo Yunting drew them behind her ear and shoved her small hand under the quilt.
“Are you sleepy? You can sleep here if you want; you have work to do tomorrow,” she said in a whisper, afraid of looking at him.
“Mind your own business.”
He sounded cold but still had no intention to go.
By the time the transfusion waspleted, it was past three in the morning. Back in the vi, Huo Yunting carried Lu Zhaoyang upstairs.
In the guest room, Huo Yuntingy on his back with her.
Before long, Lu Zhaoyang heard his shallow breathing, as if he was already asleep.
She felt a lot better right now, but she could not sleep.
After a moment of hesitation, Lu Zhaoyang slowly inched toward him, hand on his waist and head leaning against the back of his neck. “Thank you, Huo Yunting,” she said quietly.
Huo Yunting had not slept; how could he when his woman was right beside him?
All the more so when she had snuggled up and whispered behind him.
Had it not been for her allergy, he would have...
Lu Zhaoyang finally fell asleep, and her small hand began to scratch her cheeks uncontrobly.
She vaguely felt a pair of hands would grab her wrists when she moved her hands.
The night went with the feeling of a rope tied around her hands.
Lu Zhaoyang woke up naturally in Huo Yunting’s arms. She tried to move but found that his hands were clutching her wrists tightly.
What she feltst night was not a dream.
She stared at Huo Yunting’s face. His curled eyshes were as light as fans and longer than that of girls.
If he had a daughter in the future, she will be beautiful.
Lu Zhaoyang looked past him at the sunlight leaking through the curtains. The sky had brightened up.
She pushed him gently. “Huo Yunting, it is time to get up.”
