Su Cheng took out a pair of porcin dolls from the box, shaped in the form of two newlyweds. When he saw the words on the dolls, his expression froze awkwardly.
“Best wishes for Mu Xian & Ye Zhiyu. May your love forever grows.”
Ahem, the bride is not Ye Zhiyu!
“Ahaha, this is... I think it’s a wonderful gift, you have really put some thought into this!”
If it were two normal porcin dolls, they could have changed the names and still use it, but this...
He was suddenly struck by guilt. Curiosity kills the cat, indeed.
What’s with Brother Ting? Did he not tell her exactly who is getting married?
Mu Xian was still drinking when he caught a glimpse of the porcin dolls. His eyes widened. He put his ss down immediately and went for the dolls.
Su Cheng was taken by surprise and the dolls slipped from his hands. Mu Xian failed to reach them in time and could only watch as they fell to the ground and shattered into pieces.
“Oh, look at you Mu Lao Er, you scared me. I say, you should get changed soon!” Su Cheng tried to block Mu Xian’s sight from the broken dolls as he ushered the man up from his seat. “Brother Ting, you should bring your wife outside. It’s almost time!”
Mu Xian lost all the fight inside him as he obediently followed Su Cheng’s lead.
He was struggling inside and could not stop staring at the porcin pieces on the floor.
One of the dolls looked like Yuyu.
There were also... his and Yuyu’s names!
“You should leave.” Huo Yunting looked to Lu Zhaoyang. “You only make things worse.”
“I only wanted to...”
Fine. It was her fault for not getting the facts right.
When they left the room, Huo Yunting spoke to her again with an unreadable expression.
“Feeling sympathetic?”
She understood what he was asking — he was referring to her history with Chen.
“What has passed is past. Why are you still bringing it up? Do you not feel bad?”
She had not seen Chen for a long while. As time passed, their love would surely wither away.
“Why would I feel bad?” Huo Yunting snickered. “Don’t forget, we are only...”
“I know! You can feel whatever you want to feel. I’m leaving, go do your part as best man!”
She would y her role as guest. Without these people, her life would be much simpler.
As she walked past him, Huo Yunting could almost smell her bodily scent. He only needed to extend his arm and he would be able to reach her wrist.
In the end, he did not move.
What should he do now? Should he continue treating her like an object for his revenge and torture her?
Or should he love her with all his heart?
Lu Zhaoyang was unaware of his internal dialogue. She had only taken a few steps when she saw two slender and beautifuldies walking her way.
They both wore dresses of the same sky blue colour, adorned with a simrly coloured rose pendant.
It was the bridesmaid.
They gave her a brief nce when they walked past her and continued their way, chatting happily.
Lu Zhaoyang slowed down and heard one of thedies spoke joyfully.
“President Huo, how do you do. I am Yiyi, please take care of me today.”
Yiyi?
Lu Zhaoyang turned back and saw thedy standing beside Huo Yunting as she extended her hand to him. She had a bright smile on her face that was framed by a pair of shallow dimples.
Huo Yunting extended his hand in return and nodded. They shook hands briefly before entering Mu Xian’s room.
Lu Zhaoyang mocked herself inside and left.
