It was not that she had never seen him in formal wear, but he looked slightly different today.
Beside him was the bridesmaid. They were both dressed in the same colour with a dark purple bow.
They looked almost like a pair of lovers...
“Huh? Why are you not the bridesmaid? Who’s the girl beside your brother?”
Wen He noticed how Lu Zhaoyang was fixated on Huo Yunting. As a woman and an outsider, she sensed that something was up.
“You don’t like our dear Senior Officer anymore, do you? His heart will be crushed. Even if you don’t like him anymore, surely you cannot fall in love with your own brother! Love knows no boundaries, but you are going to be in a hell lot of trouble...”
“Do you address Huo Chen as... Senior Officer?”
Interrupted by the other woman, Lu Zhaoyang turned to look at her and asked, “What is your goal, really?”
“To attend the wedding, as I said earlier. Quick, look, that girl is flirting with your brother!”
Wen He was more interested in the best man and bridesmaids. Huo Yunting had a moremanding presence than the groom himself.
The Huo family sure produced a lot of handsomeds. That b*stard Huo Chen is also quite cute.
Lu Zhaoyang suddenly grabbed hold of her wrist and patted around her skirt to check for any hidden weapons and such.
There seemed to be none.
“Sis, touching me like that might spark some chemistry between us,” Wen He sipped her wine calmly and said. “Why don’t we go sit at the side and have a little chat? Who knows, you might just convince me that I’m less than straight.”
“Wen He, no matter what your n is, do not hurt Huo Yunting!”
Lu Zhaoyang whispered firmly to her. As they were standing right next to each other and in the middle of a lively crowd, no one else noticed anything amiss between them.
Wen He smiled brightly and spoke slowly by her ear, “Then, can I flirt with him?”
“No!”
“Oh... As I suspected.” Wen He gave a crooked smiled and made it a point to ogle at Huo Yunting. “What a pity...”
Chen Jiu’s target was Huo Yunting.
She was in for a good show.
The vowing ceremony was just beginning. The bride took her vows. The priest then turned to the groom.
“And you?” The old priest looked at Mu Xian kindly.
Mu Xian turned slightly to look at the veiled, delicate face next to him.
It was not the face he was familiar with, nor the one he preferred.
However, this woman was chosen by his parents.
Fu Yuhuan did not miss the hesitant look he threw at her. Her heart raced as she worried if he would back out at thest minute.
If he did, she would be utterly humiliated!
“I do not!”
After a moment of silence, Mu Xian replied loudly and turned to leave the stage. He pulled the flower brooch off on his shirt and flung it to the ground.
“Someone else marry her!”
He thought he could ept the reality thrusted upon him, but realized in the end that he was wrong.
F*ck arrange marriage! He wanted only Yuyu!
The unexpected turn of events shocked the guests and started amotion.
“Mu Xian, if you leave now, don’t you regret it!” Fu Yuhuan threw her bouquet of flowers to the ground. “Don’te back begging!”
“Hah.”
Mu Xian took off his suit and gave a derisive chuckle as he continued walking away. He threw his suit on the ground and stepped over it.
It was the perfect wordless response to her.
The parents of both the bride and groom werepletely taken aback. Why did things turn out like this?
