The olddy could now make sense of what previously a faint suspicion. It all became clear.
The short moment of silence was making Xue Yuming felling pins and needles; she had half-guessed what it was all about.
After a long while, the olddy pointed to her with a trembling hand. “Xue Yuming, from now on, you and your daughter—”
“Mother! I have something to say!”
Xue Yuming quickly interrupted the olddy. She was quick on the uptake and knew that the olddy wanted to drive her and her daughter out of the Huo family. She must not let the olddy say it out loud.
Xue Yuming was as sharp as a tack. She hade up with a n in mind.
“Mother, I swear I did not know anything at all! I would not have allowed such a morally wrong thing to happen had I known it earlier. I have an idea. Why not hear what I have to say before you make a decision!”
As the woman whom she most disgusted came and sat next to her, the olddy hurriedly shut her out.
“I do not want to hear your nonsense again! You wicked mother and daughter, get out of the Huo family!”
“Please calm down. The most important thing now is to separate Yang Yang and Yunting. As far as Yunting’s temper goes, he will not ede to your demand if he really likes Yang Yang. But you and I can y act so that they could not be together again!”
The olddy slowly eased her anger when she heard this.
She agreed that the pressing matter at the moment was to separate Lu Zhaoyang from Huo Yunting—the farther, the better.
If Xue Yuming indeed had no prior knowledge of the rtionship, she would make a desperate effort to retain her position in the Huo family, and her suggestion would be worth listening to.
“What idea?”
——
In the city, Lu Zhaoyang and Huo Yunting had no idea of the storm headed their way. No one would have thought that the olddy, Mrs. Huo, would retrieve the footages and watch them over and over again.
When Lu Zhaoyang returned to the vi after a busy day at the office and she was told that Huo Yunting had not gone to work today; he was at home the whole day.
The cker—that was the Huo Yunting she knew.
Lu Zhaoyang walked into the house with a smile. No one was in the living room. So, she headed to the backyard and called out, “Huo Yunting, are you here?”
Huo Yunting could already hear her beautiful voice in the swimming pool.
He came out of the water, shook his wet hair indifferently, and began to order about.
“Bring me the towel.”
“Okay!”
Lu Zhaoyang heard him. She grabbed a clean bath towel as she walked toward the swimming pool and saw the handsome man was just out of the water.
“Well built body!” she eximed.
Huo Yunting took the towel to wipe his hair as he walked into the house, ignoring herpliments.
Lu Zhaoyang dismissed it with a shrug; she had got used to his attitude.
As long as everything was heading the right direction, she was okay with it.
As soon as they stepped into the house, the maid brought the phone to Huo Yunting.
“Sir, Mrs. Huo is on the line.”
Hearing that, Lu Zhaoyang bit her lips, as if she wanted to hide her breath.
Was that olddying over?
She nced around, then picked up her handbag and pointed at the door.
He had better leave now, she thought.
Huo Yunting shot her a nce and then sat down on the sofa with a broad smile on his face.
“Grandma, are you back?”
“My sweetheart, it has been so long, grandma misses you so much. Come over!” The avuncr voice of the olddy was heard over the phone.
