The olddy spent most of her time resting overseas. Troubled by Huo Yunting and the problem befalling the Huo family, her health had been declining.
So, when Lu Zhaoyang arrived, Xue Yuming was only one there.
All the maids in the Huo family were new; not recognizing Lu Zhaoyang, they brought mother and son to the living hall, thinking that they were only ordinary guests.
Lu Zhaoyang held his son by his small hand and walked into the living room, where Xue Yuming was browsing through a magazine on the couch. After all these years, Xue Yuming was pretty well-kept with almost no fine lines on her face. “Mother...” She managed a word.
Xue Yuming heard the voice and found it familiar. She turned her head and saw her daughter with a child. The magazine in her hand dropped to the ground. When Xue Yuming finally came to her senses, she shouted at the maids, “Get the hell out of here!”
In the living room, only three of them were left, which made Lu Zhaoyang relieved.
Lu Zhaoyang lowered her head and patted Huo Xu on his head. “This is your grandma.”
The little guy looked at Xue Yuming, who had gotten to her feet and said with a sweet voice, “Grandma, how are you?”
“Get out of my sight!” Xue Yuming raised her eyebrows as she could not believe that her daughter had a child with Huo Chen.
In terms of seniority, Huo Chen was the uncle of Huo Yunting, who was Lu Zhaoyang’s husband. This would be a significant scandal if news got out.
“How should I call this child—grandson or nephew? I tell you what; I will never ept him! Lu Zhaoyang, shame on you. You are no longer my daughter! Get out of my sight!” Xue Yuming shouted hysterically and did not even bother to conceal her anger, dislike, and condemnation in front of the child. Her face distorted as she scowled.
Xue Yuming’s hysteria scared the daylights out of the young Huo Xu. He had no idea what he had done wrong and began to sob.
Was this his grandma? She was so scary.
Lu Zhaoyang ignored Xue Yuming. She bent over to lift her son up in her arms and wiped away his tears. Desperate in protecting her son, Lu Zhaoyang began to stare daggers at Xue Yuming. How could she treat a three-year-old like this?
“Xuxu, do not cry. You will not be handsome and my little knight anymore if you cry,” she coaxed him and the little guy stopped crying immediately. He realized that he must not cry because he had to protect Yang Yang in the future.
Xue Yuming red at the mother and son interaction as she lost her bnce. She quickly supported herself with her hands on the couch, barely holding herself up.
“Take him and get out of here! Don’te back to find me again!” Xue Yuming shouted even louder and demanded them to leave immediately.
She had been staying indoors for the past few years just because she was fearful of Huo Yunting, who might kill her if he spotted her outside. She also had to endure the olddy’s ridicule from time to time. All this was because of her daughter.
Little Huo Xu had stopped crying but his big beautiful eyes and nose were red from crying. This ached Lu Zhaoyang’s heart and anger began to rise within her. Lu Zhaoyang looked back at and red at Xue Yuming as if she wanted to eat her alive.
Xue Yuming, who had never seen Lu Zhaoyang reacting this way, subconsciously stepped back. “Why—why are you two still here? Don’t expect me to ept this child! Are you and Huo Chen thinking of being together? How shameful!”
