Huo Yunting nearly moved his gaze away a few times, but it was as if a force of nature kept him in ce.
He should have hated the child, but he soon realized that even if that was Huo Chen’s son, he could not bear to do that. In fact, he was growing fond of the boy.
He looked very much like himself and Huo Chen.
Perhaps this is what they call “love trumps all”?
When he was studying Huo Xu, the boy was also studying him.
The uncle... looks a lot like me.
In fact, he is almost as handsome as me!
For the first time ever, little Huo Xu had interest in a stranger.
What is his rtionship with Yangyang?
Xuxu wondered curiously, but kept quiet since his mother was still having breakfast.
Lu Zhaoyang sensed the silent interaction between father and son and hastened to finish her food. All the while she was thinking about how to get Huo Yunting out of her room.
“Uncle, my name is Huo Xu, what about you?”
He was too shy to ask the real question in mind, but he could not stay quiet for long.
His voice was so sweet and gentle.
Observing from the side, Huo Li looked heartbroken.
The heartless kid refused to divulge his full name earlier in the suite, but now he willingly introduced himself to Brother Ting!
Talk about double standards!
“Huo Yunting.”
Huo Li suppressed a choke. This was the first time since Brother Ting’s sessful run as an entrepreneur that he introduced himself to someone else so formally.
He then looked at Brother Ting and realized not only was he not annoyed, he seemed to be treating the boy very patiently.
What the hell...
“Yangyang, the uncle has the same surname as me!”
Little Huo Xu eximed to his mother as though he had discovered something groundbreaking.
At this point, Huo Li wanted to cry.
Excuse me, my surname is also Huo, okay?
You didn’t seem half as excited when I told you that!
The ss of fruit juice in Lu Zhaoyang’s hand shook a little as she thought, Of course, he’s your father .
“I guess we are family.” Huo Yunting inhaled and found the whole situation ridiculous.
His wife’s child was not his own, and yet here he was happily chatting away with her son. There was no saving his dignity in the matter. It did not really matter, though...
Lu Zhaoyang continued with her breakfast. As long as her son was with her, everything else felt irrelevant.
“Yangyang, the uncle said that...”
Before he could finish, Huo Yunting stood up.
After he left the room, little Huo Xu turned to Lu Zhaoyang with gaped. “Yangyang, he said that we’re family!”
Lu Zhaoyang put down her ss and smiled. “You share the same surname that is recorded in the book of Hundred Family Surnames [1], so I guess it’s true.”
“Oh... What’s this Hundred Family Surnames?”
The boy had grown up overseas and was not familiar with his mother’s culture. After all, he was only three years old.
“I’ll teach you when we are back at home.”
Lu Zhaoyang put down her cutlery and patted her belly. With Huo Yunting gone, she felt much more rxed.
After the strenuous activityst night, she needed to catch some sleep.
“Deal!”
Young Huo Xu grinned, but in the next moment he noticed something odd.
He reached out a chubby hand and touched a reddish spot on Lu Zhaoyang’s neck.
“Did a mosquito bite youst night? Why is your neck red...”
“Yes, there was this giant mosquito and I couldn’t get it to go away!”
