Wen He looked at the Madam in amused awe. That acting, it was literally Oscar worthy!
All that experience sure was not for nothing.
She stealthily tugged the edge of Huo Chen’s shirt, her lips still as she had some nasal notes, “I’m okay with that. We can divorceter on. I’ll go along with anything as long it helps me to get what I want.”
And their posture, before everyone was like two lovers whispering sweet nothings to other.
Huo Chen listened but his gaze reflexively fell on Lu Zhaoyang.
Huo Yunting seemed to have anticipated that, as his left hand circled around the back of the sofa purposefully grabbing the waist of a surprised Lu Zhaoyang’s, before giving in a good pinch.
Lu Zhaoyang shuddered slightly as she broke out of her stupor and gave Huo Yunting an angry gaze.
He tilted his head as heughed, before pursing his lips. It was clear as day to everyone else he was sending flying kisses.
Lu Zhaoyang turned away as she looked downwards, her face reddened.
That prankster, he actually dared to do that in front of so many Huo’s!
And that scene immediately made a mark in Huo Chen’s eyes.
It seems like Yangyang would not leave Yunting.
As he was Xuxu’s real father and the three of them being together—it was a good thing.
“Mother, consider me agreeing to that.”
Huo Chen retracted his gaze and finally relented.
As he no longer had any concerns, even if he was to marry, the marriage is only for posturing and he is not even bothered about signing the papers.
“That’s good, I actually had already gotten someone to prepare while you still in the hospital. I heard Xiao He saying that both her parents had passed on and she did not have many rtives so I went ahead and decided for her. I’ll inform you two once I have picked an auspicious date!”
After the whole fiasco between him and Lu Zhaoyang, whatever views that Madam had was now up in smokes and the marriage and whatnot were pretty much pointless. What she wants now was to find her son a proper wife, that was all.
If this was not settled, she will forever be worried that Lu Zhaoyang and him will one daye together again.
The hall suddenly turned silent and only after a while did someone spoke.
“Not well?”
It was Huo Yunting’s voice and Lu Zhaoyang almost wanted to shake her head reflexively, but as she looked up she noticed his gaze was aimed at her mother.
Ever since Xue Yuming’s miscarriagest time, she had been unwell, plus the weather wrecking havoc, she was getting worse day after day.
And now that the Huo’s are undergoing changes and Huo Chen was about to marry, she really hoped that she do not fall sick. Without expensive medicines to nurse her, her body would copse sooner orter.
“It’s nothing. I’m fine.” She shook her head as she withstood the difort but in her heart she really wanted to leave.
But everyone was here and if she had left, what would she do if she missed out any important details?
“After killing your own child and framing it on me, it’s a wonder you can lie with such a straight face? You’re fine? How about your conscience?”
Huo Yunting couched on the sofa as his brow lifted menacingly and he snorted.
“Yunting, you kept bringing up that matter again and again until today, what’s the meaning of you always rubbing salt onto my wounds? I had told you a thousand times, I did not. Don’t you use me for nothing!”
Xue Yuming forced herself to calm down. Huo Zhenning would trust her!
He definitely would!
But one thing she did not understand, she had already told Huo Yunting that big secret. Why is he still doing this to her?
Lu Zhaoyang’s lips slowly formed a line and understood why he had forbade Xuxu froming along.
