Huo Yunting’s eyes were firm as he looked into Lu Zhaoyang, “I only know we aren’t rted through blood. Other than that, I don’t give a d*mn!”

“Oh sure you don’t! Young man, have you ever thought if your irresponsible action could damage the reputation of our family?”

The olddy howled at her phone as her hand quivered holding the handle. She fell onto the sofa, regretting her decision of heading out for a cleanse to let the two reckless youngsters cause such a scandal in the family.

Don’t tell me! That Xue Yuming knew everything already?

What a great pair of mother-and-daughter, they just have to destroy everything in the house, don’t they?

“It was me who forced her into this marriage. I’m no man if I were to be ignorant of my marriage, be neglectful of my child. I am not Huo Zhenning, your very *bright* son, do youprehend?

His left hand nonchntly fidgeted with Lu Zhaoyang’s fringe, “Granny, please, don’t worry about us. I’ll be a very good husband to her. Perhaps you’ll get a granddaughter next year.”

Lu Zhaoyang was too stunned to have a word on his direct remarks as she wondered if thedy had enough pension to cover her medical costs after such an intensive conversation.

    “Huo Yunting, you!”

“Save your breath. Final words—I, Huo Yunting, have and would only have a single woman like her. Stay out if you don’t want to see your boy dying alone at your age. She’s your granddaughter-inw, it’s the only truth.”

Now that is relieving. Finally, after all these years, I can confess our rtionship.

    Finally...

In the meantime, the olddy was breathing heavily. It took her a few minutes before she recovered. She was utterly worn out by the discovery. She spent her whole life managing the family yet she only lost more control over the house as time passed. It was remorseful for her to admit her incapability.

“Even if that’s the case, you two must remain as brother and sister in public,” she said, wondering what else she could say. Her head lowered in surrendered pride.

“Sorry, I can’t. Oh Xuxu woke up! Well, good bye, granny, love you.” Huo Yunting hung up and lobbed away his phone. He knew it would enrage the olddy but the storm would one day subside as they would wee a new dawn leading to a happily-ever-after. In spite of that, he had to hang up since the olddy might really have a heart attack the more he spoke.

Lu Zhaoyang pped his approaching arm away, “Old Mrs. Huo will have a heart attack out of this, Huo Yunting. How can you do this to her without any forewarning?”

Huo Yunting disagreed as he raised his brows, “What do you mean by ‘without any forewarning’? Doesn’t she know our actual rtionship from the very beginning? Also, she’s the iron maiden feared by the men in the military, she’s not that weak.”

She tilted her head away from his breath, “That doesn’t mean you have to be act strong-willed at her. Our rtionship won’t get better with her like this.”

“Well, you are spending the rest of your life with me, not with an olddy. She has to know it someday, I just made it earlier.”

Is it because of Xuxu? Thought Zhaoyang, again believing her man did the confession out of guilt.

“Lu Zhaoyang, I did everything for you.” Huo Yunting added affirmatively.

“Why are you telling me this suddenly?” Her eyes avoided contact, shocked by how her man finally read her.

“Just in case you and everybody else imagined me as some evil and heartless man blinded by hatred,” said Huo Yunting as reminded by Huo Li.

The expression confirmed Huo Li’s spection.

“No, I didn’t. Look, you are imagining things,” she declined, trying to hide her reaction.

“Right, you are absolutely right. We have to fulfill our vow together to let granny have a granddaughter by next year. She will ept us one day.”
