Chapter 829: Dy Tactic

There was nothing else that she could do, but she did not want to ruminate on her thoughts by her lonesome. Hence, she looked around the house for something to clean, something to fix. Nevertheless, when night finally came, she had done nothing much.

The next morning, she dragged her luggage bags downstairs. Gu Jinzhi’s car arrived right on the clock.

She stored her luggage in the trunk and got into the car.

Beside her, Gu Jinzhi was reading a book leisurely with his head resting on his hand. He asked without looking up at her, “Have you thought through this? Are you really leaving?”

    “Yes.”

    “No regrets?”

“Regret is not in my nature.”

Wen He closed her eyes and kept all her feelings to herself.

“That’s too bad.” Gu Jinzhi shook his head dramatically and looked at her stone-cold face. “Once you’re gone, who else can I hope to help me get it up?”

    “...”

Wen He replied without expression, “You can help yourself.”

Gu Jinzhi blinked at her. “Have you tried it before?”

    “Let’s go!”

For a moment, Wen He forgot about all her worries and scowled at the man’s antics.

Then, she remembered something and said solemnly, “By the way, Gu Jinzhi, fate has brought us together, so here is a word of advice — stop smoking and drinking. Live a normal life. I do not want this to be thest time we see each other.”

Gu Jinzhi once told Wen He that he was a sickly man and that he had breathing difficulties due to his ailing lungs. Even the slightest cold could keep him in bed for days.

“So, are you willing to see me again?”

An unreadable smile crept onto his face. “I see that you miss my body as much as I do yours.”

    “...”

She should not have given all that advice. Gu Jinzhi was probably better off dead.

Wen He stayed quiet for the rest of the drive, as did Gu Jinzhi.

Half an hourter, their car reached the airport.

Wen He was just about to say goodbye to Gu Jinzhi when the man stepped out of the car.

    “Let me send you off.”

    “Alright.”

When they reached the departure hall, Wen He checked the time.

The timing was just right. Her flight was going to take off soon.

    “Wen He.”

Gu Jinzhi called her name just as she was about to head for immigration. He looked unusually solemn.

“Let me ask you onest time. Are you sure about this?”

Wen He was his life saviour, but they did not develop a close rtionship just because of that.

The reason he asked her to reconsider was to return the favour of saving his life. He hoped that she would not regret over this decision.

    “Enough nonsense.”

Wen He was an easy-going person, but she could also be very stubborn once she made up her mind.

“Thanks for seeing me off. I’ll take it from here.”

Wen He dragged her luggage bags behind her and headed for the immigration gates. Right before she stepped through immigration, she turned back for onest look.

    Goodbye.

    Huo Chen.

After a brief moment of vulnerability, Wen He collected herself and continued her way forward.

However, before she could go any further, she heard someone shouting her name.

    “Wen He!!”

Her chest tightened in anticipation and she turned around without thinking. Then, she saw Lu Bai, who was sweating furiously and running toward her. He looked p*ssed off.

    Oh crap!

She forgot to say goodbye to Bai!

Wen He ignored the disappointment she was feeling and put on a face of joyful surprise.

“Bai, are you here to send me off?”

Lu Bai continued running and looked even angrier.

    “Get back here right now!”

Wen Heughed awkwardly and started walking back to him.
