    Yan Sinian spoke calmly without revealing his emotions.


    He smiled and said, “If Mo Ning wins, you will call me ‘older brother’ and cease your investigation. If Mo Ning loses, I will get out of Z Country the very next day and never set foot here again, what do you say?”

    Huo Junyu was taken aback.


    His investigation on Yan Sinian was through his father, Huo Chen, and he had done with extreme discretion.


    And yet, Yan Sinian knew about it.


    The man’s background was moreplicated than he expected.


    Huo Junyu considered it briefly and nodded. “Alright.”


    Yan Sinian threw a quick look at him and smiled cunningly. “Brace yourself.”


    They stopped talking and focused their attention on the match.


    Mo Ning had the ball but Yu Hai got between her and the basket. He tried to slip in a punch but she evaded him easily.


    Mo Ningughed inside at his attempt. As she defended the ball from Yu Hai, she elbowed him in the stomach and made him stumble a few steps back!


    In one fluid move, she raised the ball up high, leapt, and threw it at the basket.


    <i>Bam!</i>


    The ball went through the basket andnded on the ground with a thud.


    “Wahh!”


    “Mo Ning scored!”


    “I took a photo of him throwing the ball just now, it’s going to be my screen wallpaper!”


    “So Mo Ning is actually well-rounded. He looks studious, but he is actually good at basketball too!”


    “...”


    The girls cheered when Mo Ning led the match with the first score.


    Sitting in the middle of the audience was Huo Run, who waspletely absorbed by Mo Ning as well.


    Mo Ning uncapped a water bottle and poured it over her head.


    It was a boorish gesture, but it felt so natural and domineeringing from her.


    “Run Run, isn’t he handsome?”


    Her friend and desk mate, Yang Kaimian prodded her.


    “He’s alright.”


    Huo Run had very high standards, so it was actually apliment when she said he was “alright”.


    At the very least, Mo Ning was the only guy in university whom she had such a favourable opinion of.


    Yang Kaimiao watched her friend,pletely absorbed with Mo Ning but still acting as though she was above it all, and secretly disapproved, but she said out loud, “I say, out of the three most handsome guys in school, I prefer Mo Ning the best. Jiang Xiuyuan and Yan Sinian are both so elusive that you hardly see them around.”

    “Mo Ning is easygoing and treats everyone nice.”


    Still, Huo Run made noment.


    She never held special interest in Mo Ning. The only thing that caught her attention were his eyes that looked almost identical to her father’s.


    That was why she started to notice him, although his eyes would remind her of her anger toward her father.


    Suddenly, something caught Huo Run’s attention.


    “Look!”


    While the other guys got him surrounded, Mo Ning leapt up high. She pushed one hand down against someone’s head and stepped on Yu Hai’s shoulder tounch herself higher. Her other hand threw the basketball straight into the basket!


    Score!


    <i>p p p!</i> The crowd apuded thunderously.


    Mo Ning did not behave like some polite and humble young man when she yed. Her outrageous moves got the audience all hyped up and excited.


    Yu Hai thought that he was thoroughly embarrassed. He had not even touched the ball since the match began!


    “Mo Ning, I admit that I underestimated you. Let’s just call it a draw, alright?”
