Chapter 2.0

I looked down at the large planet below me, it appeared roughly the size of earth, with lots of green and a few brown or red patches. The oceans were quite a bit smaller with many large rivers that made up the difference in water content. Soon a red glow started to appear around me.

"Activating re-entry protocols," a mechanical voice said in my head, as a shieldformed around me. The reduction of heat was nice, as I did not want to burn up, but how was I to not get crushed when I hit the ground? I looked around and saw two others who descended near me. After a minute I realized that they were Annabell and Alexia, which made me smile. It wasn''t long before we were only a couple of hundred feet (60.96 M) above the ground, at that point the mechanical voice came back, "Activating landing protocols."

With a small jerk, we slowed down and gently touched the ground. I looked around and saw mostly trees, we had landed in a small forest clearing. I then looked at the girl''s skills and frowned. Seriously, Annabelle was asupportclass, which I could understand as she was our estate. What got me was she had everything to be good at her job except that she was missing cooking. Alexia was a damage dealerbut was missing important weapons and unarmed skills. With a sigh, I got ready to fix some problems.

"Activate Title: Seeker of Knowledge." The girls looked at me oddly, and with a smile, I waved Annabelle over to me, "This will be the easier one."

I placed my hands on either side of Annabelle''s head and thought, ''Activate: Impart Skill - Cooking''. I felt the knowledge gather up in my head and swirl around. It went down my arms and out into Annabelle''s head. I saw her face scrunch up then got another system message.

Annabelle''s eyes widened in surprisebefore she smiled and started looking around for things to make meals with. I waved for Alexia to come towards me, "Now for the not so easy part, teaching you to fight properly."

Alexia looked at me oddly, "Why not just use your ability to teach me?"

"A couple of reasons. First I can only use the ability once a week. Second, since I have a master or above in most of the combat skills I can teach them to you the harder way. I also think it''s better for certain skills to be learned this way so you have some experience in using them as you train."

A few hours later with both of us out of breath, we stopped. We had managed to get her to 75% of beginner 9 in hand to hand combat, it would have been higherif I hadn''t had to change some of the moves to fit her smaller frame and lower attribute values. We had just sat down to rest when Annabelle placed some bowls of mixed fruit, nuts, and some salad in front of us.

"Eat up, it will help restore your energy," she said with a smile.

I nodded then started to eat. Soon we were both eating as fast as we could. "It''s so good," I said, Alexia nodded her agreement.

"T..thank you," Annabelle stammered, as her face turned a slight pink color. "I figured this would be better than spending estate points on saturation, for now."If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.

I looked at her, the confusion plain on my face as I asked, "Saturation?"

She straightened up and replied, "Yes, we can go without food and water for ten estate points per day per person. However, we only have one hundred estate points per day right now, and it costs one hundred points minimum to raise it twenty-five per day. The points regenerate each day, but you can not store up any excess for future use. I was waiting to ask what you wanted to do with them."

I nodded at her and started to set up a fire ring, the sun would be down in about another hour. "I think it might be best to start increasing the points first, but I''m not sure. What are some of the things we can buy, and the associated costs?"

"Ummm, let''s see, oh I can show it to you," she said with a smile, then showed me a screen.

"I see," I said afterward, "So, yea increase the housing points, say to one thousand, then we can start upgrading things."

She nodded that she heard, then Alexia and I got back to the lesson.
