Tang Qiu and Jiang Shaocheng stayed in M Country for a few more days until Tang Qiu couldn’t help but ask Jiang Shaocheng, “When are we going back?” She still had to go to school.
The whole saga with her mother was over. Tang Qiu knew how tofort herself. Otherwise, how could she have lived all these years? All she wanted now was to live the life directly in front of her. She wanted to study hard, graduate, find a good job, and start a family with Jiang Shaocheng.
Because of her emotional state a few days ago, Tang Qiu had, for once, taken time off from school. Now that she had recovered, she was fretting about the homework she had missed! She was still hoping to get a schrship; it was money she desperately needed.
Jiang Shaocheng looked at Tang Qiu, who was finally feeling better, and couldn’t help butugh. “Let’s wait a few more days. It’s rare that we have the chance to travel together. We still have a few ces to visit. The ne tickets are so expensive. It’s a loss to go back so soon…”
As expected, Tang Qiu couldn’t bear to waste money. However, she had a mind of her own. She looked at Jiang Shaocheng and said seriously, “But my studies, which I’m putting on hold now, are the foundation for me to earn money in the future. I’m losing out!” !!
Jiang Shaocheng was stunned.
Even so, Tang Qiu was not in a hurry to go back. She waited for Jiang Shaocheng to bring it up himself. This was because she felt that Jiang Shaocheng seemed to be deliberately dying their return. Her husband hadn’t even brought He Lei on the trip. It was strange just thinking about it.
Tang Qiu didn’t understand his intentions, but she didn’t ask further because she had a feeling she would get no reply. It was better to take this opportunity to indulge herself! This was only her second time going abroad. The memories of her first time overseas sat ill with her, and she pushed the thoughts aside.
The next day, Jiang Shaocheng took Tang Qiu to many romantic ces. Unsurprisingly, they didn’t meet Tang Linxi again. This country wasn’t big, but it wasn’t easy to meet again in the vast sea of people.
Not that meeting once hadn’t been enough.
However, instead of meeting Tang Linxi, she met another unexpected person: Feng Lu! Feng Lu, who was supposed to marry Jiang Shaocheng but ran away on their wedding day and let Tang Qiu rece her.
The moment she saw Feng Lu, Tang Qiu almost didn’t recognize her. It hadn’t been a few years since shest saw Feng Lu. How had she be like this?
Feng Lu was in her early twenties, but disheveled and scrawny. Her skin wasid bare with scars. When she saw Tang Qiu, she seemed to be in disbelief. Then she rushed over. “Tang Qiu, save me!”
Fortunately, Jiang Shaocheng had bodyguards around him, who could stop Feng Lu before she hugged Tang Qiu. After all, Tang Qiu didn’t expect Feng Lu toe and hug her after not seeing each other for so long. How was she to be sure that Feng Lu didn’t want to stab her to death with a hidden knife? Tang Qiu didn’t remember having a good rtionship with Feng Lu. During her years in the Feng family, Feng Yao bullied her openly and mistreated Tang Qiu to her face, but Feng Lu’s attacks were more subtle, making her impossible to guard against.
Now, looking at Feng Lu’s teary eyes, Tang Qiu wondered if the other woman had gone crazy.
“Who are you? Throw her out!” Jiang Shaocheng did not recognize Feng Lu at all; they had never met despite her being his initial betrothed.
“Tang Qiu! It’s me! I’m your big sister, Feng Lu! Save me! After I came abroad, I found out that Guo Cheng had lied to me. He was married a long time ago. When he found out that I was going back home, he locked me up and went to the Feng family to cheat their money. Save me…” Feng Lu never expected that one day, she would beg Tang Qiu to rescue her. But what could she do? She couldn’t go back again; it would be digging her own grave. As long as she could go back alive, she would tell her father that she would not let off anyone who hurt her! Including Tang Qiu–look at the difference between their clothes alone! How could Tang Qiu deserve to live better than her?
“Qiu, what do you think?” Jiang Shaocheng stopped his bodyguards, leaving the choice to Tang Qiu. He also wanted to know what Tang Qiu would do in the face of such a thing. She would be the mistress of the Jiang family in the future. He could protect her for the rest of her life, but he could not stop Tang Qiu froming into contact with the outside world. People had to be themselves first before they could fulfill the wishes of others. She was not his essory–she was wholly her own.
Hearing this, Feng Lu also ced all her hopes on Tang Qiu. Her heart was filled with jealousy and hatred. Now, she no longer felt that Jiang Shaocheng was crippled and ugly. At the very least, Jiang Shaocheng was a better man than Guo Cheng; he had asked his wife for her opinion. Clearly, Feng Lu was not in the right state of mind now.
“If she’s in trouble, she should call the police. Let’s help her call the police,” Tang Qiu said calmly.
