Lin Lee nodded, put away the card, and then drove inside the base, looking at the open area with thousands of containers lying everywhere around and survivors in tattered clothes moving around these containers.


    "This is the outer slum area of the base for weakest and ordinary humans; thisnd was reserved for thergest park construction, but before the beginning of construction, the apocalypse began. I stayed in this area for a year."


    Hong Su spoke and introduced the area while looking at the containers around.


    Lin Lee nodded and then said, "With your weak talent, it''s easy to survive among these ordinary people."


    "My talent is indeed weak; that''s why I didn''t go inside the inner area. I survived here for a year because there is a rule inside this outer area of the base: survivors canmit small crimes, but they can''t kill other survivors, or they will be used as bait for those strong beasts in order to attract and hunt them, but still hunger couldn''t be resisted, and in just a year the poption of the outer area reduced to one percent."


    Hong Su nodded and then took a deep breath with a little pity in her voice.

    She thought to herself and then fell silently and nced at another wall in front of them made from containers.


    There is a small pathway in the middle of these containers withrge gatlings aiming at their vehicle on both sides. The guards in uniform are standing ready beside these guns.


    "Will they let us pass? I heard only level 2 awakeners are allowed inside," Hong Su asked hesitatingly.


    Lin Lee didn''t pay attention to her instead nced at the guards near the pathway, waving his hand. He stopped the vehicle and lowered the window.


    "Please verify your identity before visiting the inner area." The guard asked solemnly, looking at Lin Lee and then nced at the Hong Su.


    "Report to the head of this base that the blood hunter is here." Lin Lee spoke calmly, turned, and nced at the guard expressionlessly.


    The guard was startled looking at Lin Lee''s emotionless gaze and then nced at other guards standing in front of the vehicle who hesitatingly grabbed the satellite phone and clicked.


    "This is I067; there is an individual iming to be a blood hunter; he requested to inform the head of the base." After speaking, he waited silently.


    On the other side,


    Mainpound-shaped building in the middle of the base area,


    Deep underground, inside the operation room, a few researchers in white robes were standing in front of a senior-aged man in a white mask operating on a male human lying on the operation chair.


    While the subject''s arms and legs were trembling because of struggle, but the iron shackles negated all his force,


    Instantly, the door opened, and the senior researcher''s hands stopped. He raised his head and nced at the female in suit walking inside with a solemn expression on her face.


    "Sir, the blood hunter required <to meet you." She spoke; all the researchers avable in the room were startled, and everyone''s faces changed; their eyes brightened with excitement instead of fear.

    The scalpel-falling sound spread through theboratory. The senior researcher rubbed his hand with his operation robe, ignored the trembling subject on the operation chair, and walked outside theboratory.


    "Let him in; also prepare < zero and wait for my signal; I have been waiting for this day."


    The senior researcher instructed emotionlessly and walked outside, removing his operation gloves and robe, revealing the ck professional suit he was wearing below.


    "Yes, sir," the female hurriedly replied and then walked away, instructing the guard directly.


    "Let him in and escort him to the corepound area."


    Meanwhile, Lin Lee and guards around heard themand on the satellite phones.


    All the guards around were surprised, including Hong Yu; they nced at Lin Lee in surprise.


    The guard hurriedly waved his hand, and the gatlings were pointed away. Then he nced at the Lin Lee and said requestingly, "Please, sir, follow us; we will escort you to the mainpound."


    Lin Lee nodded, and then the guards hurriedly ran and passed the pathway inside, removing the blockage.


    "How do you know the head of this base? It''s your first time visiting." Hong Yu nced at the guards and asked curiously,


    "You will know soon; just wait and watch," Lin Lee replied calmly while looking in the front direction. He can sense a few red figures flickering in the distance, and they are standing in perfect orbit, slowly covering the whole inner area.


    He then drove the vehicle inside the inner area, following the patrol cars all the way to the hugepound.


    ''It''s really the same as the one in the previous base,'' Lin Lee thought to himself and then parked and walked outside the vehicle along with Hong Su.


    "Wee; I didn''t expect an existence like you will visit my humble base." A senior-aged man appeared in a suit with a bald head and white hair on both sides of his head.


    "You have been searching for me since the beginning; I felt a little pity seeing your desperate search, and that''s why I decided to visit myself."


    Lin Lee replied calmly and then introduced himself and Hong Su: "By the way, I am Hong Yu, and this is my cousin Hong Su."


    "Hahaha, you really have a nice sense of humor, Mr. Hong Yu. Nice to meet you and Miss Hong Su; by the way, my code name is C, the head of this base; pleasee inside." Base head C replied with augh and then nodded toward both of them and invited them inside politely.


    Lin Lee nodded and then walked inside thepound along with suspicious and doubtful Hong Su, but she didn''t say or ask anything, just following silently and observing everything around.


    "Can you tell me why you were looking for me?" Lin Lee asked thoughtfully, looking at the back of the head of the base,


    "To tell you the truth, Mr. Hong Yu, first we wanted to capture and research on you because of your ability, and then we found a lot of individuals with the same bizarre talent as you; we dropped that idea and decided to hire you; we knew the era has changed; it''s now the era of talent and awakeners; we also hired all those talented awakeners."


    The base head exined and then opened the door and walked inside the room. Lin Lee and Hong Yu followed inside and sat down on the couch.


    "The evolutionary organization is established by you; are you also a talent awakener?"


    While Hong Su asked, surprisingly looking at the base head C,


    Hearing Hong Su''s sudden question about his talent, the basehead expression froze, and then an unnaturalness shed through his pupil; the next moment it disappeared, and then he replied,

    Lin Lee spoke directly without caring about sinking expressions of the base head and then nced at the wide eyes of Hong Su.


    ''I am sure after a small journey with me her point of view will copse; it''s a pity she spent a year and learned nothing,'' Lin Lee thought to himself and then nced at the cold expression of the base head.


    "It seems you are not just a talented individual, but you are smarter than I thought, Mr. Blood Hunter. I won''t deny your opinion about us, but our organization does everything for humanity; think about it. If we can find a way to awaken those talents artificially, then we can give the whole human race talents, and then we can even conquer everything, including stars above our heads, for greater cause some sacrifices are necessary." The base head replied and then argued in return,
