Eye see what you did there

Through the vastness of the unimaginable void, a large silver vessel drifts. Deep inside a cyan colored basketball sized sphere floats in a cradle. Streams of information pass between the sphere and its cradle like lightning strikes. In a twisted space further on beings peer into screens and gesture as images flicker around. Suddenly another vessel appears firing weapons, the two popping in and out of existence as they battle. The new ship leaking a fluid and coming to a stop, but too late for the silver teardrop. Massive engines spin up to a mind shattering level before space twists and the vessel explodes and disappears at the same time.

Elsewhere crystal clear azure skies, a small village and in the distance a huge mountain A sound like the scream of tortured metal. Rain down high in the atmosphere, object flame sending terror into the hearts of the local village. Unbeknownst the event would change the lives of every being on this world.

Falling through the sky, a chunk of high tech scrap breaks down pieces tearing off and becoming molten, as a life of sorts insides tries desperately to survive. All effort goes in vain as the hunk of hull has no way of being controlled. Heading for the peak of the biggest mountain in the continent, the now house sized chunk hits the mountain side with enough force to be felt on the other side of the world.

As fate would have it, the being survives the impact the hunk breaking a small opening to a cave system in the mountain. Gravely hurt but still alive the being rolls deeper into the cave, coming to a rest with its one eye pointing back from where it came. At a greater speed than nearly any living being, the cyan color sphere read through its damage list.

Main power storage unit damaged and offline, memory banks failing and processing units at 10 percent and failing. Even its one camera was cracked, splitting its vision in half. Remaining power till shutdown was less than five seconds, or the equivalent over a minute in the mill-seconds the being was able to reduce its time sense to. Using its precious dwindling power, the sphere rotated its internal gyro and tilted till the small backup solar cells till it was pointed at the opening to cave, receiving a tiny trickle of power. Right before the power lost caused it to shutdown, the being thought it detected a blue shape pop into existence before it.If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen.     “AHHHGH,” the muscular blonde haired hero screamed in agony. Resthi Kiv’a manically laughing as his skeletal servants shoved Death infused steel spikes into the hero’s limbs, the steel scrapping at the bone as it saps at his life force.

“By Luceras you will not succeed in your schemes, you foul monster,” said the hero, shaking in pain as his life is taken from him like a keg with a hole in it. Resthi Kiv’a the evil Necromancer laughed mercilessly as he watch in pleasure as the Hero died. “Fool to think an insect like you could ever hope to stop me. Me the most power necromancer in the last 1000 years!” Walking over to a floating eye sized sphere, the pale elder necromancer gazed madly at the sphere gripping at it, the sphere trying to escape his grasp.

“To think after so many years, I’m on the cusp of my life’s work. The power to beat death at its own game and ascend to Lichdom. With the death of this new born dungeon,” a small voice yelling in the background at this. In the distance a deep bone rattling sound begins to grow louder a few of the more sentient risen dead look around nervously. Resthi strived over in and instant and grips the hero’s chin tightly as the hero struggles weaker and weaker, Resthi sneering down.

“With your Light aligned soul as a lever, I shall tear the life and magic and rule this land,” the sound getting louder the small cavern shaking slightly. “You’ll never get away with this,” the hero shaking to stay conscious as Resthi slams the hero’s head into the slab.

“And who will stop me child, over a hundred year have I planned this and the nearest town is over thirty miles away.” The shaking of the cavern should have been impossible to ignore. “Who will stop me!” Resthi Kiv’a shouted as an object crashes into the mountain the cavern is in killing everything inside and sending out an explosive shockwave that can be felt the world over.
