275 Wanderers

    I stuck out my tongue in embarrassment and said, “But eating rxes me, Mother.”


    “You’re not a baby anymore. Are you going through some kind of growth spurt?” My mother didn’t know whether tough or cry. She called Bertha over to give me three small blueberry cookies. “This is thest snack. No matter how much you want to eat it, wait until dinner.
