    ” Early in the morning, Wen Ran opened her eyes, to find the spacious bed void of MO Xiuchen’s presence.


    The air still had a faint masculine scent, a lingering warmth next to her reminded her that she really did share a bed with MO Xiuchenst night.


    Just as she got out of bed, her phone rang.


    Upon seeing the iing call, Wen Ran frowned slightly. It must be that annoying Bai Xiaoxiao, no doubt calling to pry into her ‘military affairs’.


    As expected, as soon as she picked up the phone, Bai Xiaoxiao’s voice came through; excited and curious. “Ranran, tell me quickly, how was the ‘battle’st night?”


    “Battle your head! I was just about to settle the score with you.”


    Wen Ran frowned, responding unhappily. Remembering howst night MO Xiuchen saw her in that nightgown, she felt like strangling the life out of that annoying Bai Xiaoxiao.


    “Settle the score? Were you taken advantage of?”


    Bai Xiaoxiao’s imagination ran wild,ughing wickedly over the line. If not for the distance, Wen Ran really would have grabbed her by the neck, chastising her for her impure mind.


    “No, as I’ve told you, MO Xiuchen is impotent in that regard.”


    As Wen Ran said this,st night’s splendid memory unconsciously surfaced in front of her …Her face couldn’t help but blush.


    Thankfully, Bai Xiaoxiao couldn’t see her blushing face through the call. Sheforted her, “Ranran, don’t be discouraged, take it slow. I’ll help you think of another n, making sure you be a wife soon.”

    Wen Ran growled, “You must be the one going crazy. If you’re so eager, just find a time to push Brother Xiao down.”


    “Stop talking about him, I’ll get mad if you mention him again.”


    Hearing Wen Ran mention Brother Xiao, Bai Xiaoxiao instantly changed her tone. Wen Ran blinked in surprise, asking, “Was it Xiao Yuting that stood you up yesterday?”


    “Who else could it be? From now on, I, Bai Xiaoxiao, will forget about Xiao Yuting.”


    Bai Xiaoxiao said through clenched teeth. Despite having dered this countless times, her feelings for Xiao Yuting hadn’t changed. Wen Ran just let her words pass through one ear and out the other.

    After finishing the call with Bai Xiaoxiao, Wen Ran prepared to go downstairs when her phone rang again. Seeing MO Xiuchen’s name on the disy, she slightly blinked in surprise, assuming he was waiting for her to have breakfast. She didn’t immediately answer the call, instead walking out of the room quickly.


    As she reached the staircase and looked down into the living room, she didn’t see him. She frowned in confusion, picking up the call, “Hello!”


    “I have to go on a business trip for a few days, might be up to half a month.”


    “Ah, where are you now?”


    Wen Ran quickly went downstairs, her eyes scanning the living room. Over the phone, MO Xiuchen’s voice came through, “I’m on my way to the airport. It was ast-minute decision. If you encounter any issues with the pharmaceutical factory, contact Qin Mu.”


    “Okay, take care of yourself out there, don’t overwork.”


    Wen Ran responded with concern. Upon hearing his business trip, her first thought was that she didn’t have to ‘sleep in the same bed’ with him anymore. She couldn’t help but sigh with relief inside..
