    After finishing his call with Shen Yuting, Mo Zixuan contemted for a few minutes before driving straight to Tang Shishi’s house.

    Mo Zixuan pulled at her hand. She gasped, falling onto the couch instead of into his arms. As he sat down on her side, his gaze turned cold and menacing, “Are you in contact with Wu Tianyi?”


    As he said this, he reached out towards her.


    Tang Shishi flinched instinctively and began to defend herself, “Zixuan, I don’t know any Wu Tianyi. I don’t know what you’re talking about…”


    Mo Zixuan brushed her off, unlocked her phone to check her call history. Seeing this, Tang Shishi rushed to get her phone back, “Zixuan, what are you looking at? There’s nothing on my phone.”


    “We’ll see after I look.”


    Mo Zixuan finished speaking and turned his frosty gaze onto her. Tang Shishi shuddered and looked away uneasily, “Zixuan, your visit here…”


    “Who transferred this money to you?”

    Tang Shishi’s eyes shed with panic. Without waiting for her to answer, Mo Zixuan continued checking her phone. A momentter, he asked again, “Who were you on the phone with at 1:15 pm? Tang Shishi, this money was transferred into your ount at 1:30 pm. If you don’t want me to report this to the police, confess honestly.”


    “Zixuan, that money… it was transferred by a friend of mine.”


    Mo Zixuan scoffed coldly, “If you won’t speak, fine. I’ll confirm it myself.”<div>

    Tang Shishi turned as white as a sheet, her voice trembling.


    Mo Zixuan’s stern gaze flickered over her pale face, his mouth curling into an icy smirk, “Tang Shishi, you can fool others but not me. Before I came here, I called Shen Yuting. She never revealed Wen Ran’s past to anyone. Your words at noon were to test me, to confirm Wen Ran’s past.”


    Tang Shishi trembled a little. She hadn’t expected Mo Zixuan to find out so soon, let alone him verifying with Shen Yuting.


    “This money, it’s from Wu Tianyi, isn’t it? You called him after leaving the parking lot at noon to inform him about Wen Ran’s past. That’s why my mother turned off her phone this afternoon.”


    With each word Mo Zixuan spoke, Tang Shishi’s fear grew. By the time he finished speaking, her face was as white as a sheet.”

    Tang Shishi hesitated before replying, “I only told them that Wen Ran is Gu Yan’s daughter.”

    Mo Zixuan narrowed his eyes, refusing to believe that was all Tang Shishi disclosed. If she hadn’t said anything about him, Xiao Wenqing wouldn’t have gone silent and cut off allmunication.


    “I didn’t…didn’t say anything else.” Tang Shishi didn’t dare admit that she not only revealed Wen Ran’s past but also that she learned about it from Mo Zixuan. She had told Wu Tianyi that Mo Zixuan likely made a secret deal with Mo Xiuchen, thus he wouldn’t listen to Xiao Wenqing.


    With such information, Wu Tianyi certainly wouldn’t be naive enough to let Mo Zixuan get in touch with Xiao Wenqing.


    “How did Wu Tianyi find you?”


    Mo Zixuan narrowed his eyes, changing the subject. He wondered if Tang Shishi had been working for Wu Tianyi the first time they met.

    Tang Shishi gritted her teeth, promising Mo Zixuan, “Zixuan, as long as you don’t tell Mo Xiuchen, I swear I’ll do whatever you say in the future. I’ll only listen to you. No matter what you ask me to do, I’ll agree.”


    “What use are you to me?”


    Mo Zixuan sneered and the phone continued to ring.


    “I can help you win over Wen Ran. I can also be your bed warmer. Whatever you need, I’m willing.”


    Mo Zixuan snorted, not epting nor declining. Instead, he pressed the answer button, his voice cold, “Hello?”


    “Mo Zixuan, where are you now?”


    Mo Xiuchen’s deep voice echoed through the phone. Mo Zixuan’s eyes narrowed and he avoided answering, “Is something wrong?”


    “Does Tang Shishi already know about Ranran’s past? Yu Ting just called me saying that she might’ve tried to probe you for information about Ranran.”


    Through the phone, Mo Zixuan could feel the intense cold in Mo Xiuchen’s voice. His heart skipped a beat, and he maintained a calm demeanor, “Where are you now?”


    “I’m on my way to Tang Shishi’s house. Are you already at her ce?”


    Mo Xiuchen was even more astute and wise than Mo Zixuan had imagined. Before he could think of a lie, Mo Xiuchen had guessed where he was – eliminating any chance of deception.


    “I have a number here. It should allow us to contact Wu Tianyi. Have Lu Zhiyan prepare everything.”<div>
