Marcel Jefferson took Aria Jackson and Purple Summers to another conference room.
“Henry Jameson teaches at Grey, and there is a female student named Chloe Bet in his ss who frequently shows him affection and sends him ambiguous text messages, but he ignores them all. During the summer school session, Chloe took advantage of an empty office to seduce Henry by undressing, but he sternly rejected her. Out of embarrassed anger, she threatened to demandpensation from him; otherwise, she would sue him for sexual assault.”
Marcel briefly exined the situation and continued, “Of course, that’s just Henry’s side of the story. Aswyers, our first task is to protect our clients’ rights, but we can’t blindly believe the information they provide.''”,
He was worried that his cousin had brought an outsider, which could cause trouble.
Purple Summers asked,”So, what do you think the real situation is like?”
Marcel rested his index finger between his brows, pretending to be deep in thought,”If a delicious meal is presented to you, why not eat it? If a woman is attracted and a man is interested, it’s only natural for sparks to fly! I think they must have had a rtionship, and due to quarrels or conflicts, the woman turned against him, and that’s why it’s like this.”
“Do you think everyone likes to take advantage of others like you do?” Aria ridiculed him, “Henryes from a literary family, do you understand the meaning of a literary family?”
“Cousin, no matter how literary his family is, he is still a man!” Marcel chuckled, “Chloe has a hospital report proving that Henry’s semen was found in her body and on her underwear, which is undeniable.”
Aria thought for a moment and said, “Maybe Chloe agreed to have sex? Didn’t you say she sent ambiguous text messages to Henry? This could be corroborating evidence.”
Marcel replied, “Those text messages were deleted by Henry, and he even cklisted Chloe’s number.”
Aria:
Marcel shrugs with a smile, “So, we currently have no evidence to prove that Chloe had a crush on Henry.”
At this point, Aria had no other options.
Purple Summers’ expression remained unchanged, as if it weren’t for the difficulty of the case, it wouldn’t fall upon her to help.
“I’ll go talk to him first,” she said.
Henry Jameson and his mother sat in the Prominence Law Firm’s waiting room. As Marcel didn’t return for a long time, they became a little anxious.
Afraid of making a wasted trip and holding false hope.
“I think this Prominence Law Firm, although notrge in scale, looks professional…it shouldn’t be a scam,” Mrs. Jameson whispered, forting Henry and herself at the same time.
“Mhm.” Henry quietly agreed, not saying much.
He was not optimistic about his situation. Although the head of the firm said the chances of winning the case were high, they hadn’t provided any detailed strategy, and their brief conversation felt vague…
The door opened, and Marcel came in with two cups of water, warm and attentive, “Sorry for keeping you waiting.”
When Henry saw Purple Summers behind Marcel, he couldn’t help but be stunned.
“It’s you…”
“Mr. Jameson, we meet again,” Purple Summers smiled, “I’m interning here.”
Henry stared at her and slowly realized the truth.
Rather than saying that Purple Summers was rmending thew firm to him, it was more urate to say that she was rmending herself.
Henry’s expression turned cold, and he said emotionlessly, “Ms. Summers, I truly don’t have time to y around with you.”
He stood up, ready to leave.
Taken off guard by the situation, Mrs. Jameson asked, “What’s going on?”
“Nothing,” Henry said nonchntly, “just someone making a joke at our expense. Mom, let’s go.”
“Do you know why no one dares to take your case?” Purple Summers suddenly asked loudly.
Henry’s footsteps slowed.
She looked at him, her eyes calm, “It’s not just because the other party has incriminating evidence; the real reason is that they don’t believe you. So, without even investigating, they’ve determined you’re guilty. I believe in you, Henry.. Are you sure you want to give up an ally?”
