    Chapter 20: The Babies’ God-daddy

    In less than an hour, Li An’an had finished cooking the meal and baking the cake.


    The family gathered around the small table.


    Dressed in a princess frock, Li Baobao cupped her face with both hands. Her big, ck eyes sparkled as she swallowed her drool.


    She really wanted to dig in, but her mommy said that she could only eat when the whole family was together.


    “Brother, it’s time to eat!”


    She ran to the bedroom to look for Li Jùnjùn.


    Li Jùnjùn closed the chat messages on the oldputer.


    “Okay.”


    He pulled his sister away and nced at the messages on theputer again. There was something wrong with it. It was responding so slowly, it seemed to have frozenpletely. The messages were still there.


    But they were in English.


    “God-daddy didn’t ask about Baobao?”


    Li Baobao had seen the messages. Her big, ck eyes were filled with hurt, and she looked like she was about to cry.


    Li Jùnjùn hurriedly consoled her.


    “He did. He even sent you candy. Don’t cry, okay?”


    “Okay, I won’t cry.”


    “Baobao likes God-daddy.”


    When Li An’an entered, she heard the two children chatting.


    “Is it a message from God-daddy? Is he done with his work?”


    Li An’an walked over to theputer and typed a message.


    “What’s going on? Why haven’t you called for so long? All I said was I’d introduce a girlfriend to you, and you start avoiding me? You little coward.”


    The other party replied very quickly.

    “You know that I want to raise these three children alone. I’m still doing fine now. When I really can’t take it anymore, I’ll ask you for help, okay?”

    “Mommy, when is God-daddying back?”

    God-daddy was very gentle and treated them very well, but he was overseas, and always very busy.


    “I don’t know, but we can’t pester him. He finally got the opportunity to work overseas, so we can’t be a burden to him. We have to cheer him on.”

    “All right, next time your God-daddy calls, can you tell that to him yourself?”


    “Okay.”


    Li Baobao nodded. God-daddy liked her very much. He would surely be very happy to hear that she understood.


    “All right darlings, the drumsticks are ready.”


    Li An’an gave each of them a chicken drumstick in their small bowl. After eating the chicken, they would eat the cake!
