    Chapter 28: Someone Could Not Appreciate Her Cooking

    The next day, Li An’an was in a good mood. Yesterday, she had revealed to the reporters that Li Xinyi led an outrageous private life in high school. She had finally vented her anger. Although it was far from enough, she felt much better.


    In the kitchen, she meticulously prepared lunch for Chu Yichen by cooking some homely dishes. She did not want to expose her real culinary skills. Her skills were reserved for her babies. She did not want him to push his luck.


    Li An’an made a serving of stir-fried tofu and spring onion, a serving of cabbage, stir-fried meat with wood-ear fungus, a serving of winter melon pork rib soup, and a portion of fish soup.


    Chu Yichen came back in the afternoon and saw the table of dishes. His expression was obviously appalled.


    Li An’an exined insincerely.


    “I’m not good at cooking, and I only know how to cook these dishes. My skills are nowhere near Auntie Zhang’s.”


    In her heart, though, she disparaged him for not recognizing how skilled she was. Did he know how popr her dishes were? Many people didn’t have a chance to enjoy them even if they wanted to!


    Chu Yichen’s face darkened as he looked at the dishes. Since he was a child, everything he had eaten had been exquisite. He had never eaten such humble food .


    He smiled and looked at her with his intense eyes. “Are you trying to get my attention?”


    Chu Yichen’snky figure leaned against the chair, looking so cold that it was hard to meet his eyes directly.


    Li An’an’s mind was filled with questions, and her reaction was dyed half a beat.


    Chu Yichen’s eyes darkened. He did not know if this woman was pretending to be stupid, or was really stupid. He was a man born with a golden spoon in his mouth, and served by countless people from a young age. The food he ate and things he used were all top-notch. When had he ever been reduced to eating such awfully presented dishes?


    Butler Chu walked over and nced at Li An’an’s dishes before ordering the servants to take them away.


    “Young Master, I’ll get the chef of a five-star hotel to personally cook for you.”


    Li An’an pursed her lips. As expected, her food had been rejected. Excellent!


    Chu Yichen caught her smirking expression.


    “No need for that.”


    In fact, he was very intrigued by her gloating. He lifted his chopsticks and picked up the stir-fried tofu with spring onions. His originally furrowed brows rxed. Both sides of the tofu were fried to a golden brown, and it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. She even made a meaty gravy for it. The dish tasted unexpectedly good.


    His mouth was filled with fragrance! He couldn’t help but eat another piece. Then, his chopsticks turned to other dishes.


    Under Li An’an’s shocked gaze, Chu Yichen finished two bowls of rice.


    There was no mistake. She remembered that he had always eaten only one bowl of rice. Why did he eat so much today?


    However, she was confident in her cooking. If not for a particr incident, she would have be a popr food blogger.


    She could only me herself for being too kind-hearted!


    Chu Yichen finished his bowl of rice and put down his chopsticks.


    The butler also found it unbelievable. However, it was a wise move to let Li An’an cook for the young master. He realized that he was salivating too. These dishes looked ordinary, but they tasted unexpectedly good. This was the true test of culinary skills!


    After Chu Yichen finished his meal, the butler handed him a napkin. He wiped the corner of his mouth andmented lightly.


    “Not bad. From now on, you’ll be my full-time chef.”


    Li An’an’s spirits plunged. She wanted to stay away from him, but every time she tried, she ended up getting closer instead. He was clearly wealthy and could have everything he wanted. There were so many women who wanted to cook for him, so why did he have to make things difficult for her?


    “Ah, I’m afraid that could be a problem. I only know how to cook these few dishes. If you eat them every day, you’ll get sick of them.”


    Chu Yichen said in a low voice, “Then we’ll talk about it when I get tired of them. Also, Li An’an, you don’t know what’s good for you.”


    He remembered the first time he saw her. She had crashed into his arms, shocked, flustered and helpless. Now, she seemed like apletely different person. He wanted to see how many faces she had and what else she was hiding from him!


    Li An’an was in a huff; she was in no position to fight him. Hmph! She didn’t know what was good for her?


    He had no idea! After all, she was raising his three children! Who was the one who didn’t know what was good for him?!
