    “What do you mean?” Liu Yiyi’s eyebrows furrowed in anger as she abruptly stood up from her previous silence, reacting like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.


    Even the most brazen mistress might feel inferior and dread the mention of their status when facing the wife.


    With a subtle smile, Lu Weixi replied, “Nothing much. If you want to live as you wish, build your own vi. Likewise, if you want to uphold a dignified posture, find a single man with no wife. Isn’t that right, Host Liu?”


    Ever since Liu Yiyi joined the TV station, her career had been smooth-sailing. She had recently ousted a veteran host from a popr variety show, clinched several spokesmodel deals, and gotten to know Qin Zhiyou. Even the boss of Green Edge Design Institute didn’t dare raise his voice at her. Yet, this woman in front of her dared to ridicule her!


    Liu Yiyi’s eyes shed dangerously as she walked towards Lu Weixi in her high heels, her hand swinging with the aim to p Lu Weixi’s face.


    “Lu, watch out!” Xiaochen eximed in surprise as she hadn’t expected Liu Yiyi to react so violently.


    A loud p sounded. The anticipated p was halted in mid-air. It was Lu Weixi who had caught hold of Liu Yiyi’s wrist, stopping her p!


    “Let go. Let go of me!” Liu Yiyi tried to pull free, but after two attempts, she still couldn’t break free. A hint of rm filled her immactely made-up face.


    Lu Weixi gripped Liu Yiyi’s wrist tightly, pulling her even closer as she sneered, “Host Liu, this is not how you should p someone.”


    This woman in front of her merely wore a lightyer of makeup. A glint of light in her eyes as she raised an eyebrow made her look like a sly fox that had captured its prey—crafty, enchanting, spirited. Despite being a beauty herself and ustomed to attractive women in the entertainment circle, Liu Yiyi could not deny that Lu Weixi’s smile was captivating.


    But the next second, a burning pain resonated on her face as a pnded on it!


    Liu Yiyi was stunned, as were Xiaochen and the other staff. After a while, Liu Yiyi opened her eyes wide in disbelief and yelled, “You dared to hit me? You actually dared to hit me?!”


    Lu Weixi curled her lips, still holding Liu Yiyi’s wrist as she scornfully snorted, “So what?”


    Even before she finished her words, another pnded on Liu Yiyi’s face!

    With this p, Lu Weixi released Liu Yiyi’s wrist. Liu Yiyi staggered back a few steps until she steadied herself by holding onto a table. Two bright red handprints marked her face.


    No one in the room dared utter a sound, they all stared at Lu Weixi in silence.


    Lu Weixi, standing tall in her high heels, casually reached for a napkin beside her and meticulously wiped her hands as though she had gotten them dirty from pping Liu Yiyi’s face. Her face was cold and indifferent as she took the design drawings and contract from the table, shredding them into pieces in front of Liu Yiyi.


    “You canin or im damages all you want, I’m not taking this project.” She said,ughing scornfully, “Or you could go to your President Qin and ask him to fire me personally. Seeing how much he adores you, I’m sure he would do it.”
