Although she couldn’t discern much from his back, she had a familiar feeling about him – the kind of familiarity that set one’s heart racing.
Just as she was wondering about this, the cake from Hanhai was cut and the champagne of the crystal champagne tower was poured. Slices of cake and sses of champagne were being distributed by waiters to every table. The banquet began introducing the visiting guests, however, only the business tycoons in the first two rows were named.
As each guest was introduced, Qin Zhiyou, as the host, would personally offer a toast at each table. Wherever he went, the spotlight followed, making him particrly noticeable in the dimly lit venue.
Lu Weixi originally wanted to retreat, but many spectators behind her were squeezing forward. After all, some people had spent two hundred thousand for tickets to expand theirwork – no one would back off.
Soon it was the second row’s turn, and Qin Zhiyou slowly made his way over with a ss of champagne. When it was Liao’s table’s turn, the host on the stage also introduced the guests, “Next up is Mr. Liao Siyi, the chairman of the Siyipany, and the internationally renowned architect, Simon White.”
