Chapter 43 - 43 I’ve Warned You

    43 I’ve Warned You

Zhao Chuchu almost couldn’t hide herughs when she looked at the group of people doing a lousy job hiding their faces.

However, she respected their attempts and pretended to be scared. “W-what do you want?”

“Leave your bag and money behind!” Zhao Baogen, who was standing in the front, demanded. “Don’t even try to resist! We’ll kill you if you do!”

Zhao Chuchu quickly scanned the group and confirmed they were all from the Zhao n.

“Do they really think I can’t recognize them just because they’ve hidden their faces?” she thought.

“I don’t have any money!” Zhao Chuchu took a step back. “I’m warning you! Stay back, or I’ll yell!”

“Forget it! Let’s grab the money ourselves!” Zhao Baotian charged forward.

“Go away!” Zhao Chuchu continued to take a few steps back.

“Get her!” Zhao Baogen yelled, unable to hold his urge back to tear her into pieces.

He was doing this to get back at her for humiliating them.

“Tie her up and send her to the brothel! We’ll have her taste how it feels to get yed by countless men!”

    “Bitch! Where’s the money?”

“Didn’t you hear him? Give us your money, or else we’ll sell you to the brothel!”

As those people charged toward her, everyone had a cunning grin on their faces.

They knew that Zhao Chuchu had at least 20 silvers with her. They could get around four to five each.

Zhao Chuchu raised a brow as she reached into her back and grabbed a 50 centimeters long wooden stick she had prepared. She smiled as she watched the group of people charge at her.

“I’ve warned you guys to stay back.”

She swung the stick towards the first person when she finished her sentence.

The swing was so fast that people could even see the afterimage of the stick.

    “Argh!”

The yell of pain pierced through the quiet road.

It only took her a few minutes for Zhao Chuchu to take everyone down.

Behind her, Zhao Baogen and the rest were rolling on the ground and crying in pain while hugging their knees.

Even the person hiding and watching her felt like he was hit on the knees too.

Zhao Chuchu had broken all of their knees.

    It was extremely cruel.

“Man, why are you forcing me to do this? I don’t even have the heart to kill an ant.” Zhao Chuchu turned around as she gently pped the stick on her palm. “Why do you guys have to be bandits when you can live a good life? Do you guys have a death wish or what?”

“Zhao Chuchu! You bit- Argh!” Zhao Baogen yelled.

Zhao Chuchu silenced him by smashing his knee with the stick again. It was so painful that he almost fainted from that.

“Stop putting up that tough act. Does it hurt?” Thedy grinned as she poked Zhao Baogen’s knee.

“S-stop!” He was hurting so much that he was already covered in sweat.

The others were terrified when they saw that.

They thought they could kidnap Zhao Chuchu with the number of people they had.

Yet, they had failed to anticipate that she was that strong.

She was even able to break their knees without changing her expression.

Zhao Chuchu suddenly turned to where the other person was hiding and asked, “Are you noting out? Do you want me to break your knees too?”

After a moment of silence, a man walked up from hiding and bowed. “Good afternoon, youngdy. You sure are strong.”

    “I’m already married.”

“O-oh… Then, how should I address you?”

“Stop pretending. You’ve been watching me ever since I left the vige.”

A short pauseter, the man asked, “Do you need me to help you with anything?”

“Head to the town and get someone to help take these people to the officials.”

“Aren’t you worried that I’m with them?”

“Then, do you want to taste what it feels like to have your knees broken?”
