Aiden moved to say something when Benedict began shooting at him, making Aiden take a step back.
"You will never hurt her again." Benedict shouted.??
"Get him." Cedric ordered his men, who quickly rushed to get to Aiden.
Aiden seemingly sensed that he was on the losing end, retreated. He turned and ran.
"Let''s get Cami to safety." Cedric told Ian with a nod as he turned and walked towards the property gates.
Ian kept his arm protectively around Cami''s shoulders as they followed Cedric to safety.
When they had finally made it out Cami breathed a sigh or relief.
"How are you holding up?" Cedric asked Cami as they entered Katerina''s front door.
"I don''t know, I honestly don''t know." Cami said, shaking her head. "Too much just happened."
"No matter what it is, know that Ian and I are here for you, you can talk to us about anything." Cedric said as he pulled her into a hug. "The three of us have been through so much already."
"Cami!" Katerina screamed as she pulled the woman into her arms. "I was so worried about you, I didn''t know what I would do if you got hurt."
"She was worried?" Benedict asked as he looked at Katerina, confused.
"Katerina can hide her emotions quite well." Eric said with a shrug. "But she could never hide it from me." Eric said with a grin.
"Benedict?" Cami asked as she finally freed herself from Katerina''s arms.
"Cami." Benedict said with a smile as his eyes became watery.
Cami ran over and hugged him tightly.
"Aiden said you were dead, how are you alive?" Cami asked as she cried into her brother''s arms.
"I faked my death with the help of a few loyal men." Benedict said in a calmer tone.
Cedric and the others watched from the side as brother and sister were finally reunited. Katerina couldn''t help but shed a tear
"Aiden and grandpa never believed me that you were still alive. They said we would go find you when I grew older." Benedict exined in a sad tone. "And then Aiden decided to use you as an excuse to go after the people he med for our parents'' deaths."
"Oh, Benedict." Cami said, hugging her brother tightly.
"Our parents'' deaths were their own fault." Benedict told his sister, shaking his head.
"Benedict, you don''t have to. Our families are not clean." Katerina said with a small smile.
"No, no." Benedict said, shaking his head. "Growing up I watched your fathers. I followed every legal and illegal action they had ever done. They would never kill, unless you drove them too far."
"So you don''t hate us?" Ray asked as he and Alexi joined the rest of the group.
"No, it was never your fault." Benedict said.
He then looked Ian in the eyes and his expression became remorseful.
"Mr. Lim, I''m sorry about what my dad did to you and your family." Benedict said in a sad tone. "My dad took everything from you, he is the reason why you had to go through so much at such a young age."
Ian closed his eyes and sighed.
"The sins of the father are not the sins of the son." Ian finally said. "It''s not your fault. Everything I lived through, I wouldn''t change a thing. It has made me stronger and it has brought me to the people I love the most."
"Still, I know what you have had to live through." Benedict frowned. "It''s unfair."
"What has he had to live through?" Cami asked as she gave both Ian and Benedict a curious look.
She and Ian had be close friends due to their work, they had spent countless hours together and he had been like a brother to her as well.
People had even gone as far as assuming that they had developed feelings for one another. That''s why it was such a shock to everybody when Ian and Nicole admitted their rtionship. Of course, that didn''te as a shock to Cami, Ian told her almost everything.
"It''s not something I can share." Benedict told his sister.
"Those things are in the past, I would rather not relive them." Ian said with a smirk.
"Did you get our brother?" Benedict asked, quickly changing the topic.
"No, Aiden escaped." Alexi hissed. "He had a getaway vehicle ready by the back gate. We thought we could stop him, but he was prepared."
"That''s new." Benedict said with a frown. "When I left the property only had one exit."
"It looked fresh." Alexi said, confirming that it was indeed a new addition. "There was no way you would have known."
"I should have anticipated that my brother would at least have a back up n." Benedict said, shaking his head in frustration.
"Shouldn''t you be relieved that Aiden managed to escape?" Ray asked as he eyed Aiden suspiciously. He still refused to trust the man as wholly as his friends did.
"My brother made his choice." Benedict said, shaking his head. "We could have moved on, we could have lived our lives. The Carpios were long willing to give us a ce at their table, but my brother chose this path instead."
"I keep forgetting that your mother and Cthea''s mother were siblings." Cedric said, shaking his head.
"Imagine my brother dating our cousin." Benedict said with a disgusted look on his face.
Cami couldn''t help but be rigid as she recalled her brother''s threats and what he had attempted to do to her earlier.
She looked at Cedric and Ian, who each gave her a worried look.
"Did you hear?" Cami asked, hoping that they would simply look confused, but she had no such luck.
"Cami, he was wrong to do that." Cedric said with a frown.
"To do what?" Benedict asked angrily. "What did Aiden do?"
"It''s nothing, he didn''t know any better." Cami said with a frown.
"Regardless of the fact that you are siblings, he should never treat a woman that way." Ian chimed in.
"What did my brother do?" Benedict asked as his aura darkened, he was clearly worried and angry.
"He should know." Cedric said as he looked Cami in the eyes.
"I am ashamed." Cami said with a frown as she looked down at her feet. She was ashamed that something like that had happened to her, she knew how society treated women who experienced these things. It would always be viewed as her fault.
"Before you say anything Cami," Ian said with a frown. "It isn''t your fault, it''s Aiden''s fault. That fucking asshole."
"What did he do to my sister?!" Benedict demanded.
Cami closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She trusted the people in the room.
"He touched me in an unpleasant way, he almost raped me, he threatened to rape me." Cami finally confessed.
"I''m going to fucking kill him." Benedict hissed. "I don''t care if he is my brother, how could he."
"I''m sorry." Cami said.
"Cami, no, no, it''s not your fault." Katerina said as she hudded her friend, "It''s Aiden''s fault."
"Kat, he, he, almost touched me there." Cami sobbed.
"He is a sick bastard." Katerina cursed.
"Don''t worry Cami. I''ll make sure he never harms you again." Benedict swore.
"Thank you, brother." Cami said with a smile as she looked up at Benedict.
