Beep...Beeep..Beeeeep
Yawning Victor fumbled around finally putting an end to the noise. With a groan he got out of the sleeping bag and used the little light his phone offered to stuff it into his pack.
He said:
Grim
In a voice that resonated eerily
A cold dark fog poured out of his chest condensing under his outstretched right hand
Finally a creature emerged from the mist
It had batlike wings attached to a round body around the size of a tennis ball
In the center rested a single amber eye like a cats that grotesquely looking around
As the bond formed He sent a telepathic order “Grim find some breakfast”
The thing quickly flapped away into the endless forest below as a roar echoed across the whole forest.
At the cave''s entrance he could only sigh and morbidly think
“It''s only been a week that even this doesn''t surprise me, I guess I’m already used to this bloody world”
---------------------------------------
“Beeeeeeeeeeeeep” “beeeeeeeeeeeeep” “beeeeeeeeeeeeep” “beeeeeeeeeeeeep”
Arrgh dammit I was sure I turned off the alarm
I opened my eyes but what greeted me wasn''t my monotonous white ceilingThe story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
It was completely dark all I could make out where vague outlines
As if that wasn''t confusing enough my body was completely paralyzed
That means I was drugged
Without warning the entire room lit up blinding me
I took a few moments to blink away the spots in my eyes
I was in a cage the size of a locker
I wasn''t the only one in these cages there must''ve have been thousands of us
The wall I was facing now had a projection of a woman in a black background
She had fiery red hair that matched her lipsticked smile and deep brown eyes
Weirdly she was wearing a stewardess outfit?
In a peppy voice she started her speech
“Hello sinners Im charon”
“As of now you will be participating in a little game so listen up for the rules”
“The winning conditions are simple, simply kill each other until there are only 3 left”
“ If after 100 days there are more than 3 alive all remaining players will be killed”
“If you try to escape you''re dead”
“If you refuse to kill” *slitting her throat with her thumb* “dead”
“If you are unentertaining you’re dead”
“Don''t speak of your past or …... Giggle you guessed it you''re dead”
“Any questions ?”
Waving she said “No, okay then have fun“
And thats when the floor opened up beneath us
I was certainly an amusing sight thousands of people of various ages and nationalities falling through the sky still as statues
Charon impatiently rocked in her chair -wait for it- -wait for it-
Unconsciously a soft “now” escaped her lips
Quick as a viper she pressed the blinking red button in front her
With a click the preciously immobile humans could move
It was truly an art choosing just the right moment to get the most suffering
If you were too early they''d just give up on life
If you were too late they wouldn''t suffer long enough before they hit the ground
They desperately flailed around as if they could somehow grab onto something
The thousands of screams of despair resounded from the hidden speakers around the room
The symphony of suffering causing Charon to shiver in delight ,Oh she truly loved her job
And this would just be the beginning, of their suffering
