Anthem by Ayn Rand informs the world of a collectivist society. Showing how the main character goes through the path of individualism over the expectations of the collectivist society. As the story goes on the main character also known as equality 7-2520 or Prometheus, he separates from society by leaving, being alone, writing, having and doing ideas alone, and other activities he isn''t supposed to be doing. But with all the bad or not liked ideas of a collectivist society but I would prefer that if it was a dictatorship.
To make my point of being part of a communist country or a mix I must go in depth. To make my first point I will involve a real world detail, Cuba is a communist country and has one of the most experienced and professional doctor''s, every one who lives there has a home, food and water, they have a peaceful country as well. Another point is jobs, I like how there is jobs and work for one, what I don''t like is you can''t choose, to quote Prometheus "We who were fifteen ...they had but two things too say to us. They called the students name, and when they stepped forward, one after another... they then call your job you will be assigned." I feel as if you had a choice of what job you get it would be a much better society, you still must get a job though.

In conclusion, Anthem by Ayn Rand is an overall very well done novela. The main character goes against the collectivist society and then creates his own individual society. I personally believe if we lived in a communist country it would be better and more helpful, also much more efficient.
