Chapter 1: Stop

There I found her, leaning up against her favorite tree. You could tell how upset she was by just looking at her. She looked down at the ground, most likely crying, and her hands were clenched into tight fists. You could see the blood coming down her palms and she dug her nails into her skin. The rain slipped down through her hair, getting into her tight curls. Her thick dark brown hair covering her face because of the weight of the heavy rainfall.

I slowly approached her, thinking of ways that I could calm her down. Too lost in my own thoughts, I stepped on a branch. Her head jolted up with the its snap. She saw that it was only me and was at ease again.

“I’m not going to leave you...” I wrapped my arms around her. “ I will never leave you”.

“Why?! Just leave me alone!” She pushed me away and turned her back toward me.

“I’m not going to leave you because I love you. Don’t try to act like you don''t feel the same way. The only reason you want to be left alone is so that you can convince yourself that no one cares, that no one would care if you died.”

    “Stop.”
