Jin Xingdong, who was standing on the side, saw the set-up inside Lu Jia’er, the advanced AI, so vividly for the first time. She was different from the AIs he designed. She was not made of steel and iron and there were no wires within her. Instead, she was all flesh and blood.

    Lu Jia’er stepped over and asked Jin Xiann, “Can this chip be removed?”


    Jin Xiann, who was reading the data, raised her head. “I don’t think so! Judging by the scan, the chip is made of fibers and has been fused with the blood vessels and fibrous tissues in your headpletely. Besides, look at those points of connection on the chip. They suggest ears and eyes. In other words, this is your hearing and optical center.”


    Jin Xiann pointed to the image. Lu Jia’er checked the erged virtual image again. A few secondster, she said, “I now have a real sense of my body structure. I am all the more curious as to who created me.”


    Jin Xiann threw Lu Jia’er a look. “Of course you would be curious. But I heard from Xiangdong that you are nowpletely liberated from possible backdoor control.”


    Lu Jia’er replied, “Maybe I am free. Or, maybe, I am still being monitored by them.”


    “You are not sure?” Jin Xiann queried.


    Lu Jia’er said to her, “Ace said that I am like Lin Daiyu now.”


    Jin Xiann had to offer someforting words. “As the person affected, naturally, you would be baffled by this matter. Unfortunately, we cannot share your burden.”


    Lu Jia’er squeezed out a smile. Since she came out, she had noticed the absence of Jin Xiangdong. “Where is Ace?”


    “He said he was going to the bathroom.” Jin Xiann answered.


    Lu Jia’er nodded. “Oh. I want to use the facilities as well.”


    “I will show you the way.” Jin Xiann proposed.


    So, Lu Jia’er followed Jin Xiann to the bathroom.


    However, right when Lu Jia’er was about to step into thedies’ room, the sirens went off.


    As the sirens rang, Jin Xiann was greatly shocked. She heard her cell phone ringing as well.


    Jin Xiann picked up her phone. “What is the matter?”


    Jin Xiann’s expression changed from shock to tension after she heard the answer. “What did you say?” Then, she said to Lu Jia’er, “Professor Lu, please go back with me directly to theb afterwards.”


    Lu Jia’er nodded. “Okay.”
