Chapter 18. Hidden area.

As Hilda steps out of the checkpoint, which also functions as a SafeZone, she looks around to find it similar looking to the first part of the dungeon which also looks like floor 2.

Great… my points are going bye bye.

    Shila, let''s go.

    Fine..

So estimated 4 people level 40 huh? This is gonna be easy for my level since you said skills are priority right?

I guess? But that''s not entirely tr–

Hilda immediately goes off and starts attacking, easily killing the weaker monsters.

    Why even ask?

As Hilda keeps hunting, she kills a couple abominations and watches her points keep going up but also down due to the increased number of ghosts and wraith masses which requires more points for holy water than they provide.

Couple hours later(yea, I''m still too lazy for the lines, whatchu gon do bout it?)

Ok, I''m just gonna fight the boss and go, I''ve only leveled up once so far to 61, and that was only because I hunted so long on floor 2, so i had remaining xp.

    I wouldn''t suggest that.

    Why?

    Can''t tell you.

    Too strong?

    Yea

… Nah, I don''t believe you, I''m gonna go check.

    Later…

    Shila.

    Yes?

    I''m sorry.

Hilda says, kneeling down in front of shila, begging for forgiveness.w

Just now(mental note to self to fix the lack of lines)

    Oh, here it is.

Hilda steps towards the boss monster and gets a notification.

    Notification

    Entering boss area.

Oh nice, why didn''t I get one during the previous one?

Because that was only the first part.

Oh, well it should be easy.

Hilda wills her weapon “soul cutter” to appear as she rereads the notification.

    Entering dungeon boss area.

    Undead king(level 70)

Hilda reads the notification, double checking it before walking out again.

Back to present(I swear about the lines)

    Stolen story; please report.

Isn''t that thing stronger than the floor one’s boss?

No, it doesn''t have any buffs due to being a dungeon boss instead of a normal boss.

Oh, than what should I do?

I would suggest farming more monsters a lot more since your skills don''t seem to want to level up either.

    Don''t you have farming?

    I value life more.

How about the checkpoint? Can''t we go back?

    No.

    Damn.

    Damn indeed, now go.

As Hilda starts farming again, with Shila following behind reluctantly but doing her job due to having no choice, she eventually kill all the monsters only for all her skills to only gain 1 level up.

    So… what now?

    Can''t tell you.

    Why not?

    Not allowed, and not sure.

    …

    So what to do now?

    Can''t tell, are you deaf?

    Hint.

    Fine, look around.

    Sure?

Hilda spends the next couple of hours looking around, with Shila having gone back into the system as he eventually gives up.

Damn It!!!! What am I looking for?!

Hilda swings her sword against a tree only for her to be sucked in as a weird crack appears.

    Entering secret area.

Hilda sits up after falling down and reads the notification and calls Shila outwhile explaining what happened.

    Are you serious?

Yea, I''m kind of stuck in here now.

Go find and kill the boss, it should be around your level with some monsters here as well.

    Yea but…

    but?

Hilda looks down the long tunnel at her front and back as she gets teleported into the center of the tunnel , and would be lacking in light completely if not for the fact that shilas body let out a bit of light, lesser than a flashlight, but still something.

    Hilda.

    Yes?

Hilda asks, hugging Shila while scared due to the immense darkness.

    Your pathetic.

So what? You sleep hugging me every chance you get.

So what? I look like a child and have the mentality of one, you don''t.

    …

Let''s just buy a flash light.

No don''t, it may attract monsters.

As much as I would like to agree with you, I feel like your only saying that to converse points, it''s only 20 points.

    Can I get a discount?

    No.

Fine, take my 20 points then.

    Later(...)

Hilda holds the flash light, choosing a specific direct to travel in, eventually arriving in a large dome shaped room after killing many monsters and finding 5 abominations in it.

    What''s this?

Boss rooms could just be a bunch of weak ones too, and this is just a Hidden area.

    Oh…

    Disappointed?

Nope, I just kind of hate these things.

Hilda rushes in with Shila as Shila finally gets a chance to use her magic, decreasing third speed and most likely affecting her agility to Hildas suspicions and inability to check due to avoiding around a hundred arms.

As Hilda uses her sword and infuses mana into it while using conversion magic, something that hasn''t leveled a single time as she kills an abomination in a single hit.

Nice, but it took up like 10 percent of my mana.

As Hilda prepares to attack again, she feels a bit of pain in her right index finger as she notices it disappear, leaving behind the blood while constantly spilling more blood.

Crap, this hurts, why did my finger disappear?

    Recoil.

    Recoil?

Hilda asks dodging the arms from the abominations while holding the stmo of her kidding if her tightly.

    Yea conversion magic.

    Isn''t the risk too high?

    Yea, high risk high return.

As shila starts using her leech ability in the monsters, Hilda watches as her finger slowly grows back, causing the pain to decrease and starts holding her sword properly again as she starts attacking without using conversion magic too much and using sword wi to attack from far away.

As Hilda dodges most of the arms while cutting down the rest, she eventually gets hit by some.

Dammit, I''m double these idiots'' levels and still struggle.

    Well, there are a bunch.

Hey, how much can you heal?

    6.

    6 what?

    People duh.

No, if I lost a limb, could you heal it

    No, obviously.

Tsk, what about like a hand or foot?

    I guess so… why?

Hilda infuses the rest of her mana into her sword with her sword qi, while preparing to use conversion magic, which doesn''t take mana

    No way, are you crazy?

Maybe I am, maybe I''m not.

    Don''t do it.

Don''t worry, I bet the monsters have spawned back already, buy me a healing item to help deal with the consequence, right?

    Yea, I assume so.

    Nice.

Hilda uses her sword, sending a wave a sword qi at all the abominations, hitting 7 of the remaining 9 and killing 5, leaving the other 2 severely injured.

Nice, this is about to hurt isn''t it?

    Level up.

    All stats +1

    Trait has been improved slightly.

Hilda watches as her arm slowly turns to stone while causing severe pain at the same time.

Shila, give me the healing object immediately!

Fine, it cost you 1,000 points so appreciate it.

Hilda consumes the healing object, which she didn''t even bothered to read the name of as the conversion slows down, and stops completely as shila uses her leech ability, killing off the 2 remaining abominations, and slowly leeching the last 2.

Why did my arm turn to stone?

It can turn into anything due to the conversion, the more you sure, the more severe the effect and petrification is a lot harder to heal than a missing arm.

    Great.

Hilda uses her right arm which is relatively okay compared to her left  to grab her sword as she prepares to cut off the arms of the abominations, drawing it out so Shila can kill them with her leech ability.

Shila, debuff them using your field magic and debuff magic.

    I already am!

Well, do it again with your debuff magic!!!

Ever hear of easier said than done?

So what, I''m the one saying it right now, so it''s easy and I don''t care if it''s easy for you.

    …

As Hilda keeps defending, she notices her arms very slowly returning to normal as another one of the abominations die from the leech leaving only one which doesn''t last much longer either.

Nice… so how do I go back?

Hilda considers before noticing a chest and portal appear in the center.

Wow, so chests now instead of through the system, how nice?

Hilda opens the chest and finds an egg.

    Pet egg(epic)

Will hatch the more the user fights.

Wow… what? How does this work, what abilities will it have?

I would assume the same as me.

    Why?

It''s part of the system, I''m part of the system.

    Makes sense I guess.

But the type of pet that comes out may affect it, such as increased weakness to a certain magic or attack or increased defense.

Oh, it''ll be a normal pet, not a small me right?

It may become a small you.

    Seriously?

Yea, imagine me, you and your pet going around together.

    I''m not imagining that.

But you''ll basically be this pet''s mother, so no declining being a mother now.

… Still better than having you call me mother.

Not surprised anyways, you can''t put it into your inventory by the way.

    Huh?

Yea, you gotta hold it while fighting, shouldn''t take too long to hatch since you got it from the first floor dungeon.

    Won''t it be weak?

It''ll basically be my strength and trait.

    Skill?

No… but it''ll get stronger overtime of course if you level up since our levels will be connected to yours, and the xp you get from it killing monsters is also only 70 percent.

    Oh.

Hilda goes through the portal with the egg in her egg as she immediately notices monsters charging at her.

Well, I guess I gotta hatch it anyway.
