So Hilda enters the dungeon, she notices that she starts off in a graveyard, similar to some parts of the second floor, but with the graves being a lot more in numbers and in an arranged pattern, luckily being not too many to be able to affect her running speed.
As she continues looking around, she notices a pathway through the graves, leading to an open area, surrounded by graves.

As Hilda keeps looking up with her sword in her hand, she sees a figure slowly getting clearer as it finally leaves the fog, wearing a dark robe around it''s skeletal figure adorned with many small gems with slightly bigger ones, one at each of its arms and one big one at its chest with the edges layered with a thin layer of gold trim.
Wow, this thing''s robe looks valuable as hell. Hilda thinks while considering if she could give this to the villagers to sell as she identified the monster.

Hilda closes her notifications with a mental click as she pours a decent amount of mana into her first attack, slicing its body in half as she surprises herself, not expecting to kill it in a hit as it''s body goes back to normal immediately, surprising her again as she lands back onto the ground.
What just happened?
The only way to kill a lich is if you delete it''s mana completely, and by the way, it''s mana regeneration is massive, the second way is to destroy it''s soul core, which contains it''s soul and is the reason it''s alive.
What does it look like?
A red orb which it can move around, but must remain in its body.
As Hilda turns to look at it, expecting its robe to be cut in half, she notices that its robe had somehow fixed itself, hiding its soul core again.
how it fixed its own clothes? Hilda thinks for a moment, not getting the answer while having her thoughts interrupted by another feeling of danger as she looks back at the Lich and dodges as it shoots a shot of dark magic at it.
How annoying. Hilda decides that she''ll just find it out later as she never heard of magic that can fix clothes, and would love to get it as she current clothes keep getting damaged, with her spending points at the shop to get it repaired, something she first learnt when fighting the slimes on floor 1 due to them being severely acidic and dissolving some of her clothes while leaving her with some weak burn marks.
Hilda jumps back up, attempting to attack it as a shield appears In front of it, causing Hilda to give up immediately back up while dodging its attacks just from behind the shield.

Hilda goes to the shop and buys low level shield magic(level 1) and blocks the lich''s attacks, using more than half just to keep creating shields, barely keeping up as the leech keeps replenishing her mana but not fast enough.
Hilda, you''re gonna run out of mana eventually.
No I''m not, the skills already level 5 due to continuously taking such strong attacks despite being low level.
As they keep leeching while Hilda''s shield skill increases, Shila debuffs it, making it shoot slower letting Hildas mana regeneration due to the leeching be able to keep up with the consumption as Hilda sees it stop attacking.
Oh, done already? Hilda says with a smug tone and look while putting one hand into her pocket using the other to form her shields as she withdraws her sword back into her soul.
As Shila and Jamine keep leaching it''s mana off only due to it having no health, a trait unique to only a few monsters, she notices it casting a new spell as she takes her hand out of her pocket to cast more shields, preparing to block any attack that comes, only for the lich to stop casting without shooting anything.

Shila hears some groaning sounds and turns to Shila and Jamine''s by her sides to find that they are find, but also find undead crawling up from the graves like some zombie apocalypse movie as she contemplates to kill the zombies or to keep shielding as the lich starts attacking again, seeming satisfied with its self despite having no facial features due to having a skull only for its head.

Guys, leech off the zombies around us, you should be able to easily kill them, I''ll keep shielding.
Hilda keeps shielding them as the zombies around them keep turning to dust instead of just disappearing, probably due to something the guide probably did.

Guess not. Hilda keeps shielding, noticing her mana decreasing due to undead only having health, though not a lot and then having to convert it into mana, with converting health and mana causing the total amount to decrease.

Yep I can due to my field magic being able to slow down any attacks.

Hilda starts counting down as she removes her shield, causing them all to disperse in different directions, surprising the lich for a second before targeting Hilda who''s the strongest.

Hilda dodges as she intently watches her mana increase quickly as Jamine and Shila keeps absorbing more undead as she attacks the Lich again, finding it''s soul soul and attacking it, causing it to crack before it teleports back with a road of pain, surprising Hilda as the undead she''s met so far aren''t able to make such a clear and loud sound even if it''s just a screech, that and the fact that she didn''t think a skeleton could screech due to being, y''know skeletons.
As the Lich starts attacking gains, she notices some of the undead dropping dead and disappearing, indicating that they died without Shila or Jamine using leech on them.
Hm, so if I can attack its core I can somehow kill the undead?
Hilda tries attacking it again, only for it to teleport away, focusing its attention on Shila and Jamine, only for them to survive easily, with Shila entering the system and Jamine relying on her regeneration that''s stronger than an abomination by a lot, tanking most hits with her hands.
Seeing this, the Lich focuses all her skeletons on Hilda while also attacking her, focusing on her completely.
As the lich starts getting more desperate, it stops summoning more zombies and prepares an instant kill spell again.
Hilda, you can''t dodge this, so you either need a strong enough shield or a stronger attack.
Oh, then come next to me and start leeching it again.
Hilda watches as her mana starts increasing even faster, allowing her to create around a dozen shields at once as the Lich shoots the instant death skill, breaking through every shield, and changing it''s direction to hit Hilda as she tries to dodge.

Hilda uses her trait for more mana, straining it slightly as she creates more shields, with her current skill being at level 7 and using the rest of her mana.
She watches as the Lich finally shoots the skill, as it pierces through all her Shields as she quickly pulls her sword out from her soul, not expecting it to work as the skill suddenly disperses upon making contact with her sword as Lela and Jamine finally kill it.
What just happened?
Oh, I think I know, your sword is not called soul cutter for fun, and instant kill abilities affect the soul partially, and your sword can eventually cut a soul but for now, it should be able to cut through attacks to the soul.
It was only because the lich is pretty weak compared to other beings who can use soul attacks, with the skill it used being unstable due to having to risk its own life to use it.
