Chapter 40 THE QUEEN AT THE CLUB

After finishing another round of questions, Nathan spun the bottle once more. Itnded on the guy sitting next to Barbie. "Truth or dare?" he was asked. He confidently replied, "Dare."

"Kiss Lucinda for five seconds," Barbie challenged, causing Lucinda to gasp and cover her mouth. The guy hesitated, taking a sip of his drink before responding. "I will pass." Nathan spun the bottle, and itnded on Lucinda. "Truth or dare?" he asked. Lucinda chose truth. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Nathan queried. Lucinda refused to answer the question and instead opted to take a drink. Nathan couldn''t understand why she wouldn''t answer, but Lucinda just grinned in response.

The bottlended on Nathan next. "Truth or dare?" Lucinda asked. He eagerly chose dare. With a smirk on her face, Lucinda dared him to kiss Barbie for two seconds, causing a displeased re from her friend. "We''re on," she whispered fiercely, ring daggers at Lucinda as Nathan pulled her in closer by the waist. His hand caressed her cheek before his lips crashed onto hers. The kiss was deep and passionate, their lips moving in perfect synchronicity. Every nerve in her body was on fire as she yearned to deepen the kiss, but Nathan pulled away suddenly, making her gasp with disappointment. The tension between them was electric, and she couldn''t wait to feel his mouth on hers again. "Done," Nathan dered. With a victorious smile, Nathan spun the bottle and itnded on Lucinda again. "Truth or dare?" he asked. Without hesitation, she chose dare.

Barbie then requested to ask the dare on Nathan''s behalf. "I dare you to give Nathan a steamyp dance and finish it off with a light kiss on the lips," Lucinda said with a wicked smirk. Nathan grinned as Lucinda attempted to take a drink. "Stop being boring and just do it," another girl stated, taking the drink from Lucinda.

Taking a deep breath, Lucinda positioned herself on Nathan''sp and started to move her hips in a seductive manner. He couldn''t resist the urge to touch her, but Lucinda smacked his hands away, keeping control of the dance. As she leaned in for the kiss, Nathan closed his eyes in anticipation. But just as their lips were about to meet, Lucinda copsed onto his arm with her head resting on his shoulder. The tension in the room was palpable as everyone waited to see what would happen next.

"She''s clearly under the influence," Nathan noted with concern, poking Lucinda''s head gently with a finger.

"Can you try to wake her up? I have no idea where she lives," Barbie instructed from nearby. Without hesitation, Nathan proceeded to poke and prod Lucinda until she slowly stirred from her stupor. Assisting her up, Nathan guided Lucinda out of the club and into the noisy, dimly-lit garage. Crowds of young people were milling about, enjoying the popr hangout spot. Comining under her breath, Barbie offhandedlymented, "She always makes such a scene."

After sessfully navigating their way through the throngs and avoiding collisions, Nathan and Lucinda emerged outside to breathe in the fresh air. Unfortunately, Lucinda''s bnce was precarious and she nearly took a tumble. Acting quickly, Nathan caught her and supported her until she could stand on her own. After a brief pause to catch their breath, Nathan guided Lucinda towards his car with steady hands.

With care, Nathan helped Lucinda into the passenger seat of his car before making his way to the driver''s side. Frustrated, he attempted to open the door multiple times, only to have it repeatedly mmed shut by Lucinda''s unsteady hands. "What''s the deal with this door?" he grumbled, finally managing to get it open. Settling into his seat, Nathan turned his attention to Lucinda. "Can you tell me where you live?" he asked, only to be met with a drunken breath on his face. Sifting through her bag for clues, he eventually found her phone and unlocked it with her help. Scanning through her contacts, he spotted "Magical human" and "Sister Medusa" Deciding to give thetter a call, Nathan dialed the number and waited for a response.

A curt voice answered, "Hello, Lucy. I was just about to call you. What''s taking you so long at work?"

"I''m not Lucinda; she''s drunk in my car. Please direct me to your house," Nathan stated.

"What''s your name, and where did you see her?" Medusa inquired.

"We were just having fun in the club when she passed out," he muttered. "Did she drink?" She asked.

"Yes, a little, but she''s not handling it very well," he said, looking at her.

"Come to Industrial Road No. 2," Medusa navigated and hung up. He put her phone in her bag and tried to wear her seatbelt. She hugged him. "Ralph, is that you?" She asked.

    "I''m not Ralph; I''m Nathan," he replied.Content ? N?velDrama.Org 2024.

**"How dare you talk back at me? I''m the queen of the under..." Lucinda passed out. He sighed and rested her in the chair, leaving the seatbelt on.

As Nathan arrived at the residence, he noticed Medusa standing outside the building. After parking his car, he approached her. He had mixed feelings about handing over Lucinda to this woman, who he had only just met, but he knew it was the best option.

"Excuse me, are you Miss Medusa?" he asked politely.

Medusa turned to him and replied, "Yes, and where is she?"

Nathan pointed to his car and said, "She''s in the car." Medusa proceeded to bring Lucinda out of the car. Nathan offered to help, but Medusa declined, insisting that she could manage on her own. Nathan watched as Medusa carried Lucinda into the building, and he couldn''t help but feel a twinge of sadness.

"Thank you," Medusa said before disappearing into the building with Lucinda in her arms. Nathan stood there for a few moments, lost in thought.

The persistent ringing of the phone shattered the peaceful silence of the room. Lucinda''s eyes remained tightly shut, determined to hold onto thest shreds of sleep. Medusa groaned, casting a quick nce at the rm clock. It was already past the hour of dawn, and she needed to get ready for the day ahead.
