Chapter 93

    Chapter 93:

    ? ? ? ? ?

    Caden was speechless.

Momentster, there was a knock on Alice''s door.

“Alice, why did you lock the door?” Joshua asked.

Her voice was soft, but Caden could still make it out.

Then he ended his phone call.

A frown creased Caden''s forehead as he looked at his phone, his mood darkening slightly. He was at the Yates mansion.

Joshua''s bted visit had clear intentions.

Caden tried to push away the unsettling feeling, deciding not to focus on such insignificant details.

Then he washed his hands, disinfected his phone and took a shower.

Alice, after pausing to calm herself, opened the door.

"I lock the door every night," he exined calmly.

    Joshua walked in without hesitation.

I have inspected the room suspiciously, but found nothing out of the ordinary.

Dismissing his suspicions, hemented, “I thought you were protecting yourself from me.”

Alicia kept her thoughts to herself, but replied, "If I were protecting myself from you, why would I be here at Yates Mansion?"Content rights by N?velDr//ama.Org.

Suddenly, Joshua closed the door and gently held her face, admiring her fresh-out-of-the-bathroom appearance.

    Alice''s face tensed.

She had thought that her menstrual period would deter him, making her less attractive, a notion he normally adhered to.

However, his current expression was one of uncertainty. Joshua caressed her face tenderly, examining her features carefully.

"How long has it been since you got your period?"

Clenching her jaw, Alice replied curtly, "Three days."

"Your period is almost here, isn''t it?" she insisted.

Internally, Alice felt a wave of annoyance.

“It''s still quite heavy,” she replied, with a mixture of defiance and hope of repelling him. “You''d better stop.”

Joshuaughed softly, easing the tension. “I wasn''t nning on pursuing that tonight, but Alicia, remember that there are many ways to make someone happy, and it''s not limited to just one,” he joked, softening his words to keep the conversation light but suggestive.

Alicia felt nauseous thinking about her sexual experience with Lilliana.

Remembering Joshua''s earlierments about her being boring, she adopted an expression of bewildered ignorance.

"I don''t know what to say," he admitted.

Joshua, barely maintaining hisposure, suggested, “You could use your mouth.”

The suggestion filled Alice with revulsion.

She struggled to mask her disgust as she searched for an excuse.

"But I don''t know how," he protested.

“I can teach you. You learn quickly, you''re an outstanding student. “I’m sure you’re good at this too,” Joshua reassured her, taking her hand and cing it below his belt.

“I have to leave soon, so please hurry up.” His whisper was intimate. “I’ve been waiting for this moment since our divorce, do you know?”

Alice repeatedly pulled her hand away.

With Caden, intimacy felt good. With Joshua, it was totally terrifying, and I felt a total aversion.

As Alicia resisted, Joshua''s frustration grew.

"What''s the problem? You don''t want to?"

Alice, clenching her jaw and bowing her head, confessed: "I''m too anxious. I don''t know how to proceed."

    Joshua ceased his instructions.

He unbuckled his belt and pushed her onto the bed.

    Overwhelmed, Alice began to gag.

    Joshua stepped back in shock.

His expression turned icy. “What is this reaction causing you, Alice?”

Alice told the first lie that came to her mind. "My period makes me sick, especially when I''m nervous, and I start to vomit."

Joshua paused, closed his eyes briefly, then released her and stood up.

At that moment, his phone buzzed.

Irritated, he was ready to reject the call, but upon seeing Randolph''s name, he moderated his tone and answered.

Alicia escaped to the bathroom, frantically scrubbing her hands.

It took him a long time to regain hisposure.

She took a deep breath, torn between retreat and resistance. She had hoped she could tolerate Joshua''s presence briefly to aplish her goals, but now she doubted she could hold out for another moment.

After a considerable time, she wiped her face and stepped out, ready to leave. Joshua had just finished the call.

Then he looked at Alice, with questioning eyes.

Alice tensed and pressed her lips together as she waited for him to speak.

Frustrated, Joshua threw the phone aside. “Have you been to see Randolph?”

A pang of anxiety tightened in Alice''s chest.

She wasn''t sure how much Joshua knew about her encounter with Randolph or what Randolph might have told him.

However, he realized that honesty was his only viable option at the moment.

“Randolph? Mrs. Gray’s husband?” Her face remainedposed as she replied, “I had the opportunity to apany Mrs. Gray to a party today, and I met him there.”

Joshua continued to scrutinize her intently.

He had recently learned from Randolph about his actions at the party, which had led Randolph to question his motives. It really wasn''t a big deal.

She had merely defended Rachel during an unfair fleeting situation.

However, Randolph was the unwitting focus of their actions.

The ndestine dealings between Randolph and Joshua, nowplicated by her involvement, made Joshua suspicious.

“Do you know Rachel?” Joshua asked.

Alicia shook her head. “Not really. “We met for the first time today at the beauty salon and we chatted for a while.”

“How did you end up talking to her? Don’t get involved with the Gray family anymore,” Joshua warned. “You''re out of your depth with them.”

Alice smiled. “Why? I just made a new friend. But your concern seems excessive.”
