Chapter 147:
? ? ? ? ?
Alicia felt her knees buckle at the number. “Caden, you shameless bastard!” she blurred out, her voice filled with frustration and disbelief.
Caden, unfazed by her outburst, ughed softly. For someone her age, he thought, her behavior was downright childish.
He leaned backzily in his chair, rubbing his chin as if deep in thought. “What an insult. You must be very angry. Hmm, how about twenty-eight times then?”
Alice''s eyes narrowed, her stubbornness hardening her resolve. "Eleven times," she replied, her tone firm.
“Is that your final offer?” Caden mocked, his lips curling into a mischievous grin. “If you insult me ??a few more times, I might considering down.”
"So, are we okay with eleven times?"
He clicked his tongue in disappointment and shook his head slightly. “Did I say I was going to listen to you?” His gaze sharpened and he began to calcte. “Let’s see, twenty-eight times less your period equals an average of two times a day.”
Alice was speechless, unable to process his absurd reasoning.
Caden, however, seemed to enjoy her frustration. He leaned closer to her, his voice dripping with yful menace. “So, do we do it once in the morning and once at night, or both at night? Don’t worry, I’m flexible.”
Alice couldn''t take it anymore.
“Okay!” He finally gave in, unable to muster the energy to continue fighting. “Twelve times, okay?”
Caden, amused by her attempt at negotiation, stopped ying with her. “Fifteen times, plus three meals a day.”
Alice''s murderous re could have set him on fire. "You add five times as much and expect me to cook for you? Not in your dreams!"
"Okay. I won''t force you if you don''t want to cook."
Caden shrugged, offering a petnt alternative. “Okay, no cooking then. But that still means five times as much in bed.”
Alice struggled to find words, but eventually settled for a resigned sigh.
"Caden, aren''t you afraid I''ll cut you if you push me too hard?"
He looked at her, amusement dancing in her eyes. “Well, the knives at home aren''t sharp enough for that. You''ll probably need a chainsaw. “They sell them at the hardware store downstairs, but it’s closed now.”
Alice looked at him, her lips pursed in a mixture of fury and helplessness.
It was absolutely impossible.
He was about to copse, he knew perfectly well that he was going to lose that ridiculous negotiation.
But swallow your pride? No way.
“I swore you would never taste my food again,” he began.
Caden raised an eyebrow, his smile deepening. “So, five more times in bed?”
His silence stretched on, heavy with tension.
Finally, Alice let out a long, defeated sigh and reluctantly refused.
Caden, satisfied, amended his little “agreement.” Alicia''s hands hovered over the keyboard, clenching tightly as she fought the urge to scream.
Caden looked at her and his expression softened slightly.
"I want you to apologize," she demanded, her voice low but firm.
I wanted him to at least show some remorse for speaking out of turn.
But Caden wasn''t about to give in that easily. He pushed her hand away, refusing her request with cold indifference. “I don''t expect you to forgive me. This agreement says we''ll have sex, and we will. Afterward, we can fight again.”
Alice''s heart sank.
She wasn''t about to let him go, but deep down she knew there was no winning against him. Still, she pressed the keyboard, refusing to let him type.
His eyes darkened as he looked at her. “Alicia,” he said coldly, his earlier joviality evaporating, “this is non-negotiable.”
Her gaze met his and she saw that the cunning of before was gone, reced by something far more ruthless.
He was like a cold-blooded snake; his very presence sent shivers down her spine.
Alice pulled her hand away, her eyes burning with anger. “Before the agreement is over, if either of us makes a mistake, there will be consequences.”Content is property of N?velDrama.Org.
Caden didn''t seem to care at all. "And what consequences would those be?"
She bit out each word with a sharpness that matched her gaze. “A public apology posted on the Inte, chemical castration, and a ten billion dor payment to the other party.”
Hearing this, Caden''s expression finally faltered.
Chemical castration?
A sudden chill ran down her spine, and although she would never admit it, she felt a phantom pain, an uneasiness creeping under her skin.
Five days had already passed in this month.
Excluding the days of her period, and considering they had already been together once, that left the unfortunate reality of an average of once a day for the rest of the month.
Alicia tried to avoid him at every turn, looking for excuses and evasions, but Caden…
He was in no hurry.
After all, she could only evade it for so long.
The next night, her phone rang with a call from Caden. She hesitated, but eventually answered, still simmering with anger she hadn''t yet let go. “What do you want?” he asked, his voice sour.
Caden’s tone was cold and matter-of-fact. “Don''t you want what Randolph gave me?”
His irritation was immediately reced by curiosity.
"Of course I want it."
?Thene to my office.
She felt relieved, at least he wasn''t calling her back to the apartment.
I have wasted no time and hurried over.
When Alice arrived, she ran into Hank, who was leaving work. A wide smile lit up his face.
"Mr. Ward is in his office," he said cheerfully.
Alice couldn''t help but smile back. "What''s got you in such a good mood?"
Hank chuckled and his smile widened. “I got off work early today. It''s a rare treat. “I’m meeting an old friend for dinner.”
Alicia gave him a thumbs-up in congrattions, remembering how eerily quiet it was when she set foot inside the building: no employees, no bustling activity.
It was still early, but the ce was deserted. He couldn''t help but send her early departure.
But her smile disappeared as soon as she entered Caden''s office.
The sound of running water greeted her, meaning Caden was in the shower.
A sinking feeling spread through her chest; This was not a simple business meeting. She had hoped to avoid any torment by meeting him here, but she quickly realized thating to the office had been her n all along.
I lured her into the bathroom to take a shower. After that, his true intentions came to light, evident in the wicked glint in his eyes.
Therge, empty office floor was surrounded by ss windows that looked out over the city, hidden from prying eyes.
Alicia found herself pressed against the cold ss, her fingers digging into Caden''s neck for support as her breathing grew ragged and uneven.
Her lips, swollen from his incessant kisses, pressed desperately against his wet shoulders, trying to muffle the sounds of her surrender.
She feltpletely destroyed by him: his touch had changed.
His skill had grown sharper, more intense, as if he had honed it for this very moment. His hands, his lips… they knew exactly how to undo her.
When she finally finished, Alice''s nails showed evidence of her struggle.
Blood streaked Caden''s broad back, chest, and neck: his feeble attempts to push him away had be traces of his surrender.
Reality hit her as she caught her breath and panic gripped her chest: this would be her life, her reality, for the rest of the month.
Tears filled her eyes and thest of her strength copsed. “I''ll cook… I''ll cook, okay? Just cancel those five times, Caden, please…” She sobbed, her voice shaking.
Caden took her tear-stained face in his hands, his lips brushing her wet cheeks. I have kissed her softly, tasting her tears.
He let out a chuckle, teasing her as he swallowed her sadness.
