Chapter 244

    ?Chapter 244:

Ynda asked Dorian for advice before finalizing the initial program.

With steady hands, he carefully inserted the chip into the robot''s body, entered the necessary code, and rebooted it.

The humanoid robot came to life.

Ynda looked at the robot in front of her and smiled with satisfaction.

She was eager to give the robot orders and test its capabilities, but she stopped herself when she remembered that Caden was on his way.

Ynda wanted Caden to meet Lina first.

    Shortly after, Caden arrived.

Ynda rushed to greet him, her enthusiasm palpable.

    ?Caden! You''re here.

    Come, take a look.

    ?

Caden''s gaze fell on the robot named Lina.

He was familiar with her, having built her himself.

    But now, something was different.

The mechanical eyes, once lifeless, now glowed with warmth, almost like human pupils.

Intrigued, Caden studied Lina closely, his expression a mix of curiosity and admiration.

“Try it, Caden,” Ynda encouraged him quietly.

“I’ll be out for a moment.

    ”

    Caden nodded.

    “Thank you.

    ”

    Ynda smiled warmly.

    “Don’t worry.

It’s the least I could do.

    ”

After leaving, Ynda leaned against the wall, taking a moment to rest.

The thought of making Caden happy filled her with a deep sense of fulfillment.

Everything she had learned from Dorian had helped her create exactly what Caden needed.

    Alice could never do that.

One day, when the time came, she would naturally take Alice''s ce, both in her life and at her side.

Meanwhile, Dorian came out of the bathroom.

Just as he was about to speak, Ynda pushed him away.

“Dad, you have to go back now,” she said firmly. This is property ? of N?velDrama.Org.

She didn’t want him to interfere with her ns.

“Trust me, I’ve got this under control.

    ”

Dorian, always so perceptive, effortlessly discerned the thoughts hidden behind her words.

He ced a gentle hand on her shoulder.

    “Take care,” he said softly.

Ynda looked at him, her determination unwavering.

“I will, Dad,” she replied in a firm voice.

She gave him a reassuring smile as she led him away.

Once in the car, Dorian leaned back in the seat and let out a tired sigh.

    Retirement suited him well.

If it hadn''t been for Ynda''s request, he wouldn''t have gotten involved at all.

The hours of work had exhausted him and he soon fell asleep.

When he opened his eyes, he noticed that the car was parked under an imposing advertising sign.

His eyes widened in amazement as the screen showed an advertisement for Alicia''s gallery, her portrait dominating half the space.

Her delicate features and serene gaze were mesmerizing, but there was something deeper in her expression that drew him in.

A strange feeling stirred within her, an unshakable familiarity.

"So this is Alicia, the woman Caden has feelings for," Dorian muttered.

Both Alicia and Ynda had their own charms, excelling in their respective fields.

Alicia seemed like the perfect match for Caden.

However, as he studied her face, a sense of recognition gnawed at the edges of his thoughts.

Why did it look so familiar?

Noticing her captivated gaze, the driver broke the silence.

    “Mr.

    Moss, do you know her?”

    Dorian''s expression turned serious.

    "No.

Is she very well known in Warrington?"

    The host hesitated.

    “Recently, yes.

It has been gaining poprity and has been in the headlines a lot, especially with Mr Ward.

    ”

The Bet family story was widely known, and the chauffeur had heard of it in bits and pieces.

    "She is an orphan.

After graduating from university, she married into the Yates family, but the marriage did notst; they divorced several months ago," he exined.

    Dorian frowned thoughtfully.

    “Orphan?”

"Yes, his parents died in an ident," the driver confirmed.

A pang ofpassion touched Dorian''s heart for reasons he could not exin.

Meanwhile, Caden was very impressed with Lina.

Although she was almost ny percent human, there were still some details that needed to be polished.

Caden intended to make those adjustments himself.

Before he knew it, it was dark.

When he went outside, he saw that Ynda was waiting for him.

Concern shed across his face as he saw her pale, tired expression.

    “Are you okay?”

Ynda nodded quickly, forcing a bright smile.

“What do you think? Do you like it?”

“Yeah, it’s impressive,” Caden replied, his admiration evident.

“But you have to prioritize your health.

You can’t keep pushing yourself like this.

When you’ve recovered, you should go back to Dorian.

    ”

Ynda’s smile faltered, reced by a sh of sadness.

“Caden, I’ve been working tirelessly today, all by myself.

I just wanted to make you happy, and now you want to kick me out?”

    Caden’s tone turned firm.

“I appreciate your efforts, but there is no room for negotiation regarding your return.

    ”

Ynda bit her lip, holding back the frustration that was building inside her.

She knew she had to back off, at least for now, to find another opportunityter.

“Caden,” she began softly, her voice tinged with desperation, “I promise I won’t interfere with your rtionship with Alicia.

I won’t get in your way.

    Please don’t throw me out.

    ”

Caden stared at her in silence for a moment before pulling out his phone and sending a quick message.

“Please, Caden,” Ynda continued, her voice shaking.

“I will take care of my health.

    I won’t be a burden.

Just let me stay in Warrington, okay?”

The more he pleaded, the more indifferent Caden''s expression became.

“Ynda,” he said evenly, “don’t invest your emotions where they aren’t wanted.

    ”

Tears welled up in her eyes, stinging as she fought to hold them back.

Was loving him in silence, from the shadows, not even an option?

A lump formed in her throat, and when she spoke again, her voice was barely above a whisper.

“Okay, Caden… I’ll do as you say.

    I’ll focus on getting better.

    ”

For now, staying in Warrington was the best she could hope for: it kept her close enough to cling to a faint glimmer of hope.

Caden looked at his watch before nodding.

“You should go back to the Joy mansion.

    ”

He grabbed his coat and walked past her without looking back.

    Ynda blinked in surprise.

“Caden, aren’t you going to spend some time with Lina?”

    “Another time,” he replied coldly.

“I have something else to do tonight.

    ”

Stunned, Ynda felt a sinking feeling in her chest.

A vague idea of ??what Caden might be nning flickered in her mind, and a shadow of sadness passed through her eyes.

Ten minutes after he left, she silently decided that she would follow him.
